I DIDN’T NOTICE UNTIL JUST NOW!
I’m not as active anymore, still trying to dig myself out of this lack of motivation fueled by the pandemic. But, still, so many of you still have stuck with me. Some for Fresh Meat, and others hopping on to see if I’ll ever do anything with my Hat in Time swap AU. Either way, thank you.
So, because of everything, I don’t have anything planned for this milestone. So, Imma let y’all decide. What do you want? Message, reply, or use an ask to say what you want. Here’s a few, but not all, options to get you’re brains going. Q&A, just get the next chapter out already, oneshot prompt/raffle, look back at the beginning of my writing hobby (again). I’ll give you guys a week to think on it.
How about another live stream where we are playing some random game and doing random stuff cause we think that stuff is coooooooool? :P
Clara was about to burst into his room, but decided instead to knock. She knocked awkwardly with her elbow, "Chingu!!~"
Chingu was on his computer, replying to his superiors about small little tasks that needed to be done: sending packages, delivering documents, a later training session, the sorts. After finishing his last reply, he heard a knock on his door. Who could it be? Clara would have just burst through, so was it her?
He got up from his desk and walked up to the door and opened it. “Oh! Hey Clara,” he said, “I uh, didn’t think that was you for a moment. What’s up?”

As Chingu was pushed back, the flames that surrounded them moved along with the human. As the flames moved through Clara, she could feel the intense heat, but they did not set fire, nor burn the genie at all.
The shove brought Chingu back to reality and at first, looked panicked. However, he calmed down a bit once he realized that the fires were not doing anything to harm him.
“What is this?” he asked out loud, “What’s going on?”
Clara blinked. Did he really not know? Did the magic take over his mind for a few moments? She pushed those thoughts to the side. She replied with a slight panic.
“I don’t know! You hugged me without warning and now there’s magic fire!”
Chingu’s head tilted, wondering how the events that just occurred would create magical fire. Snapping back again, Chingu thought about this for a moment.
“Wait... do you think this might be like what happened when I was getting encased in ice? Could this be...?”

“Clara… you’ve been so protective of me ever since we first met. You seem to always have the answers for whatever seems to be my problem. Not to mention you’re like the only one who will talk with me for more than a few minutes,” Chingu chuckled a little.
“The truth is Clara… I like you. I… want to be by your side forever…”
His body began to heat up a lot faster. Clara could feel in the magic that something was about to happen.
The magic wasn’t a concern for Clara. This emotional situation was a greater concern. This was dangerous thinking.
“You… you know that’s impossible, right? I am going to live eons past you if no one manages to kill me. Even past the long lifespan…” She heaves a great sigh as she looked him straight in the eye.
“I… can’t feel that kind of love.”
Chingu clinged to the genie a little tighter. “I don’t care about that Clara… I… I can work around it… I… I…”
The magic finally burst out. Flames surrounded the two, but somehow, nothing was getting set on fire, even though they could feel the heat of the raging flames around them.
Clara began to wince slightly with his clinging. She whined, “You’re hurting-”
The flames erupted around them. In a panic, she pushed Chingu off her, knowing she could handle the flames better than him. Yet, she felt no burns. She looked over to see no burns on him as well.

When Clara put her hand on Chingu’s forehead, she could feel heat radiating from him. However, this was no ordinary heat. Clara could easily feel this. It was magical in some way, shape, or form.
Upon Clara’s touch, Chingu’s body shivered a little. “Clara… I… I’m fine. I feel ok. Why? Do you sense something?”
Clara shook her head.
“No, I just-” She paused. Her gaze suddenly turned serious. This was definitely magic. She didn’t feel any sort of hostility or curse, so it wasn’t from that. This was something she couldn’t notice until it was too late; something from Chingu’s magic.
Chingu pulled Clara into an embrace. Now Clara could feel that not just his forehead was warm, his entire body was as well. It wasn’t raging, aggressive, or out of control. It was almost inviting. It felt like sitting next to a fireplace during a cold winter night.
“You were just protecting me… as always… right Clara?”
Clara felt the inviting hug, but only slumped in his arms. She only frowned and gave a calm but confused tone.
“Why are you hugging me like this? It’s… nice, but… I don’t understand.”
“Clara... you’ve been so protective of me ever since we first met. You seem to always have the answers for whatever seems to be my problem. Not to mention you’re like the only one who will talk with me for more than a few minutes,” Chingu chuckled a little.

“Uh… I uh… don’t know? Should it?” Chingu asked confusingly. He wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead, and the color started to fade a little, now that his mind was off the subject of Clara for now.
Clara summoned a handheld mirror to float in front of her, however, by the time she did, most of Chingu’s redness had faded.
“Here, use this-”
“Oh… it’s already fading.”
“That’s good! It must have been something minor!”
“Um… well… I wouldn’t say it was… minor at all…”
Chingu face turned red again. This time, he turned away in embarrassment.
Clara frowned once more. She quickly placed the back of her hand on Chingu’s forehead.
“Is it a fever? Are you feeling okay?”

“R-Ruma… That’s a… nice name. I like it…” Chingu continued to stammer.
Chingu’s face stayed the color of an apple. In fact, his face began to sweat a little. His body started to feel warmer and warmer by the second.
To be honest, he didn’t know how he wanted to tell the genie how he felt about her. Clara was such a good friend. She was always there for him through the good and bad times.
“Yeah, I was always good with naming-” Her smile descended as she looked as Chingu. She crooked her head curiously, curiosity fixed on her face.
“Is… your face supposed to be that red?”
“Uh... I uh... don’t know? Should it?” Chingu asked confusingly. He wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead, and the color started to fade a little, now that his mind was off the subject of Clara for now.

“It’s a snow leopard,” Chingu said, “I’m happy you like it. I wanted to get you something a little different.”
Clara tightly hugged the snow leopard plush. She rubbed her cheek against it while giggling to herself. She looked at Chingu and smiled brightly.
“Thank you, Chingu! I love them!”
The color once again returned to his face, this time, a darker shade. “Y-You’re welcome Clara…” Chingu stammered, unsure of what else to say at the moment.
Clara’s expression calmed. She began to carefully examine the plush, especially the face. She let out a ‘hmm’ noise. Her face lit up with a smile.
“Ruma! Definitely a ‘Ruma’!”
“R-Ruma... That’s a... nice name. I like it...” Chingu continued to stammer.

Chingu picked the box up and brought it over to the genie. It was just a basic cardboard box closed shut simply by tape. It was long and rectangular rather than squarish.
“Happy Valentine’s Day Clara,” Chingu said. His face was no longer it’s normal pale color.
Clara’s eyes focused on the box. She snatched it out of Chingu’s arms. After a few tries, she swiftly removed the tape and opened the box, giggling all the while.
When Clara finally got the box open, she saw something that was furry. A mix of white and light brownish fur with black spots. It obviously looked plushy, as it just sat there motionless, but the size of it was lifelike, hense the size and weight of the box.
Clara held the plush tightly in her arms. She squeed and hugged the plush creature.
She gasped, “AWW!! It’s adorable!!! What animal is it?!”

Chingu blinked a couple times before slowly accepting the candy. “I… um… thank you…” he stuttered a little. He figured Clara was going to get him something for sure, but this still caught him a little off guard.
“Actually, I have something for you too,” Chingu eventually spoke, “I meant to give it to you at Christmas, but I completely forgot.”
The candy had a slight chill in his hand. He could notice there was magic around it to keep it cooled. Clara blinked.
“Oh? Really? Yeah, I was busy, too. Since a lot of agents went home for the holiday, I was stuck doing missions.”
“Yes, let me go get it,” Chingu said, walking back into the room, and going over to his closet. He started rummaging through it to try and find the present for Clara.
“No… no… where is it? Wait… here!”
Chingu pulled out a box that seemed to hold something big. It was fairly easy to pull out though.
Clara’s eyes lit up at the huge box.
“Oooo! What is it? What is it?!” A big grin grew wide on her face. She unconsciously dropped her mountain of candy, which seemed to disappear into nothingness. Clara folded her arms in front of her a smiled akin to a gitty child.
