The bin store is looking tidy at the moment- please can we remind residents; DO NOT fly tip and make sure you put your rubbish IN the bins provided so that we don't attract rats!!

Please be vigilant - there is someone who’s been getting in to sleep in the hallways. If you see them please call 101 and report them, also be aware of who is following behind you when you enter the building. Ask them if they live here, and please don't prop open doors. This is a big security issue.

The consultation period will take one month and during this time, a full survey of the building will be carried out to assess the works to be done, and builders asked to quote for these works.   The survey will be carried out this week (on Thursday 29th October). 

Do not leave any items in the communal areas.

It would be great if some owners (and particularly owner-occupiers) were to volunteer as Directors to strengthen the current team, and work with the management company to improve the block.  Notices should arrive in the post with all the details during the forthcoming week.

All owners who have received an invoice for a substantial amount of ‘balancing charges’, please note that these are currently being queried with HSC as it has transpired that they relate to historical items dating from pre-2012.  Please hold off on your payments for now while we clarify the situation.   We expect to hear back from HSC on Tuesday 13 October.  

The other residents will now have to pay to get this junk cleared.   This is not likely to happen until the cleaners next visit on Thursday 24th.  We will also be looking on CCTV to see who this was and if the cost of removing it can be re-charged to one flat then we will do that - for everyone’s information it costs us  around £100 to remove it.

On a lighter note (excuse the pun) an electrician will be dealing with the faulty lights very soon.

The front of the building got jet washed today and looks so much better with the graffiti and weeds now removed.

The broken lock on the door leading to the communal patio area has now been replaced with a new one. Keys will be issued to all residents within the next day or two. When using the patio area, please be aware of security and always make sure you lock the door after you to prevent intruders. We want Chimes House to be a safe and secure place for all our residents and it's everyone's responsibility to keep this up. So - be vigilant, make sure security doors are closed. If you see a door that's been wedged open, close it. Thanks all!

Patio us now cleaned up after a good jet washing - thanks to Phill from Dirty Drive-Away - looks great!

Steve from S&R Cleaners did a great job of clearing all the weeds in the patio yesterday to get it ready for jet washing.

The name of the contractor hired to do this work is DebCo.  There shouldn’t be any great disruption to residents during this time, but if you do experience any problems please do not hesitate to email us.
