no i want to talk again ab the macden in this ep like. it’s all in dennis’ mind this is his perspective of this relationship. mac thinking of making the diamonds in the pressure cooker vs dennis turning the heart into a diamond. mac saying not to pick up because it’s a test and dennis would get angry at them. he’s acknowledging how he’s hurt mac w his fight or flight tendencies. about north dakota. about everything. mac standing in the back of the first face time just watching. he’s respectful of dennis’ mental health day. doesn’t try to barge in. he reminds dennis his car is in the shop (not commenting on his mental health just logistics!). mac knows dennis better than he knows himself

The way Dennis is both a victim of his fantasy and the one controlling it, just like he’s in some ways a victim of his circumstances but in other ways he perpetuates and encourages his own dysfunction
