Can't believe it's been 10 years

#man i knew this was coming up but didn't think it'd be this early into summer #i wonder if any new memorials were erected a few days back even just temporarily #edit;; oh wow i jus checked and the permanent memorial has come a long way #edit 2;; yeah there IS a temp memorial and it's still there as of today 6/15

no way it's been a decade since naruto ended and i can still recall the names of super minor flashback-only characters. the hold this series had on me at one very brief point in my life is insane

writing LL is an endless cycle of me visibly struggling not to insert any part of myself into the main characters. and also going "no, actually, he would not say that" then altering entire plot points until i'm satisfied again

hmmmm this is twice now that i've ordered items on weidian and the proxy reached out saying in order to purchase, there would be an additional payment through the seller's qq account. this time it was coupled with stating the item was a pre-sale when it's very limited leftover stock from an event earlier in the month.

so anyway i'm like ????? am i going crazy???? i ask the proxy where in the world they pulled the info from because i can add to cart and go through all the steps just fine. and then, magically, instead of a response back the order purchase is completed. wonderful. so where was that extra fee going to go if i had just blindly agreed????

The encyclopedia just says "joins NASA as an aerospace researcher" at age 16 (🥺 lil bby)

I made the assumption that his family was from Texas because his middle name is Houston and... having been there and worked with people from the area that's very, very plausible. Him going to MIT starting at age 10 would mean Stanley is from Boston as that's where they meet, and that checks out with the fan encyclopedia book, but I'd bet good money at least one of his parents is from Texas and proud of it.

In the audio drama (when they are both 18) stan says that he will leave boston tomorrow for basic training....

Book has Stanley down as:

Age 18: Enlists in the United States Air Force.

But has nothing for Xeno age 18, instead it goes:

Age 16: Joins NASA as an aerospace researcher.

Age 19: Notices an email from Senku and replies. From then on, their email correspondence begins.

I guess the audio drama and book contradict each other. It's been a while since I listened to the audio drama, but doesn't Stanley say something along the lines of that Xeno will probably be going off to NASA?

i think your numbers are 1 off 😅 senku is 10 when he sends the email, and he and xeno are 10yrs apart in age. he starts working for nasa in april '13, so he's halfway to 20 at that point.
