#i refreshed on a stanxe dj page at six on the dot #status changed from not yet to not available/out of stock #sometimes it shows differently depending on which page you're viewing from #i think most of the time i'll get an email for restock and can access it thru that #but if i look it up normally the restock hasn't registered yet #LMAO speaking of which!!!#i JUST got that email for this book haha #anyway i spent 5 minutes fumbling knowing this book is super limited stock #and at 6:06 i see it change to PO open on not the circle's page but the authors #tbhhhh i think there was just a 6min time discrepancy which is good to know!!#i got a restock alert email maybe a minute after that so relatively quick #but not instant lmao but!!!#it's ok i got it :) it alll worked out #one of five on TN down n 4 more to go #at least i had times both for this one and the dj on booth this morning #the others are up in the air so im playing whack-a-mole w/ like 3 or so twt accts #i know one is 'soon' and another is 'whenever TN gets the leftover stock delivery'#and the third is sometime this week which is vague but i have restock alerts for all 5 already set #as long as i open the email immediately and one-click order i'll be good #and i've had my email notif volume cranked up for the past few days #i intended for this to wake me if i'm asleep but it's also good 4 if i'm not #looking at my phone #now i pick that thing up immediately lmao #lmao it's still showing the book at the back of search results #even tho the product page is updated now #well at least i know now that refreshing a tag page for registered works that #haven't had sales open yet isn't gonna do shit #but i also know the email alerts are reliable so next time i won't be panicking #for 5+ minutes thinking it's out kf stock already

#paypal not veing available took me out #im so lucky it took my wise card info + i had enough for the transfer #but i'm even more lucky it wasn't deleted from my cart while i tried #a) card on mobile (wouldnt load option)#b) card on laptop (took details but would t go thru)#c) wise card on laptop (only after bank transfer bc it's not connected like PP is)#WELP on the bright side i have the wise card saved for next time #and i didn't spend more than i hadso I won't be at risk of being overdrawn #tho tbh i was banking on PP taking 2 days to show up on bank transactions #wise takes even longer and it's the weekend so yea im set regardless #that being said i cant transfer anything else to wise and can't use the cardd w/o $#but i think the only other thing i wanted can be bought thru paypal #anyway now that that's done i'm going back to sleep for 1000 years #edit; i just refreshed the booth page n theres still 1 left in stock #the way i didnt need to rush hahaaaaaa but no it's fine #i'm glad i fumbled successfully so i can speedrun next time

#at least it wasnt a $22 anthology like last time 😭#oh well it's v cute and will likely be here around the same time the other is #*other duplicate (the chinese stanxe anthology)#i can put them together i think #it's shiami's 3rd book so idk how delicate it'll be #i actually just took the plastic wrap off of book 2 today!!#that one is teeny tiny tho so delicacy is a given #the other one has rly thick cover paper so if the pages are spread it stands up by itself #i think it stood in front of my dcst volumes until the 26-27 calendar came in #tbfh im not even surprised the double ordering happened this time #i almost did the same to a separate dj from 7/5 this week #and ordered one in my cart instead of pre-ordering another #(but it's a yubera dj so i'll happily enjoy it despite trying to be careful w money this time)#that's already not happening HA but ill get bday money next week nd use that #only half of the july books i've ordered are at aocs and the price plus shipping #ridiculous like between 150-175 i think #it was like uhhh 9k ship and 14k books gor the estimate #i knew i went overboard earlier this yr and knew preemptively that i may #do the same this time but gdi there's just so many good books #just like w/ the feb books i will be splitting the lot into 2+ packages

then someone gets brave and makes a character who is a real bastard and makes all the wrong choices and is maybe even malicious at times and they make this character explicitly queer. and then fans are like "this is what you think of us?? worst representation ever" and the creator gets absolutely lambasted, ESPECIALLY if theyre queer themselves

then everyone else sees this and either thinks its too risky to include a queer character, or wants to make sure they're only doing the good and nice representation with no flaws or mistakes
