Eevee that inhabit old-growth forests with thriving Bug-type populations may gradually adopt an herbivorous diet of nutrient-rich, decaying vegetation, prompting their evolution into this Bug/Grass-type Pokémon. They recycle chlorophyll from their food to produce leaf-like armor that covers their bodies, providing both protection and exceptional camouflage among the forest foliage. Their fern-like antennae rival those of many Bug Pokémon in sensitivity, picking up vibrations through the forest floor over extraordinary distances. Unfurling their antennae fully exposes additional sensory surfaces, enhancing their ability to detect pheromones, plant chemicals, and approaching changes in the weather. These Eeveelutions prefer to avoid confrontation whenever possible; if their leafy camouflage proves ineffective, they rely on their powerful legs to escape at astonishing speed, making sightings of wild individuals exceedingly rare. Trainers hoping to partner with one are more likely to succeed by training an Eevee alongside Bug-type Pokémon deep within ancient forests. Though wild individuals are timid and wary of humans, those that evolve under a Trainer's care are gentle, dependable, and cooperative companions.
