We are bodily 21 and got the diagnosis at the beginning of 2026. We have at least 14 parts and we prefer the term parts to alters, so please respect this.

Three of our other bigger diagnoses are NPD. BPD, and Bipolar 1.

I'm not sur if this is the right space or not ?

But I often go in neurodivergent space. By neurodivergent space I mean it at large, like people with neurodevelopemental disorder, but also psychotic disorder, anxiety disorder, mood disorder, personality disorder, ect.. I mean ALL neurodivergent.

And so many "neurodivergent safe space" are just some eugenistic and ableist shit. So many people saying "we (neurodivergent) are superior to neurotypicals" and by neurodivergent they really just means the high functionning one, usually high-functioning autistic/adhd/audhd. I see so much stuff about neurodivergent supperiority and I know those who do that type of content just shit on their higher-need siblings.

This disgust me so much...

I hate delayed amnesia so much. I’ll go through a whole day thinking I’m “fine” and fully present, and then hours later it hits me like—wait… I don’t remember anything from today. It feels like my whole day just slips through my fingers.

I’d like to think I’m staying relatively co-conscious with our other alters/fragments, but then once they leave, I lose nearly—if not all—of the memory afterward. It’s so disorienting.

People will be like "I wish I had DID"

And it's like, okay so you want severe memory issues to the point where you literally can't remember what you just said 3 seconds ago, chronic identity issues to the point where you never know who you are at any given moment, having dissociation/depersonalization/derealization so bad that you think that the only way to stop it is killing yourself and thinking that killing yourself will have zero consequences, and so much more? No? I thought so.

So, we knew we had DID since we were 17, but didn't seek out a diagnosis for it due to a few things.

First off, someone close to us already had the diagnosis and we didn't want them to think that we were copying them.

Secondly, medical professionals didn't believe that we had bipolar until we went into inpatient when we were 18 when it got real bad and were about to attempt for the 6th time.

Third off, what if we were actually faking, you know?

People expect you to have both of these at the same time when you're a system:

100% clear cut communication 24/7, without fail, no mess ups, you know every part of yours from the inside out, y'all get along, y'all know how to function like a singlet, none of y'all get into fights or gatekeep information from each other.

AND

You literally can't function in any setting, memory problems through the roof, communication issues like the worlds most dysfunctional middle school friend group of 10, gatekeepers gatekeeping EVERYTHING, the host has no idea of the system, and everyone hates each other.
