“hallelujah” by leonard cohen being played as an easter and christmas song, “zombie” by the cranberries” being played as a halloween song, and “born in the U.S.A.” by bruce springsteen being played as a Fourth of July/generic us patriotism song have got to be a special trifecta of the most no-listening-comprehension musical moments that happen on seasonal playlists every single year

I only listen to stuff from the last month cause old things make me feel really sick and uncomfortable. Like its really weird and kind of creepy to imagine people listening to a 2023 song let alone 2022? Real weirdo stuff tbh. And if im being honest there wasmt even any good music until last year with taylors version. Its so dusty and not worth its spit in gold anymore but back then it was worth one good listen. But yeah idk people who listen to that boomer pre 2023 stuff make my skin crawl and should probably just rot
