Dear Mommy, 

Hey mommy, 

I have some great news for you! I got an A on my Microbiology Exam. Ahh! I was so excited when I saw my score. I hope that you’re proud of me. I just wanted to let you know that all of this hard work is for you. I am going to live out the dream that you have always wanted which was becoming a nurse. :) Next week is dead week, and this would be the time where you would constantly call me to check up on how I’m doing. It’s pretty difficult not having you here to motivate and encourage me. However, Stanley is doing a great job with helping me stay motivated and encouraged. Mommy, he is such an incredible guy! I wish you got to know him on a personal level. I know you would have loved him. :) As much as I wish you were here on Earth, there is not anywhere I would rather have you be than Home with Our Father. Gosh, you must be having a blast up there! 

I miss you more than words can express. I love you mommy, always have and always will. Rest well, my angel, my hero, my best friend.

Dear Mommy, 

It has been 7 months since God so graciously took you into Heaven, and honestly, it’s hard. Life without you is extremely difficult. Each day is a battle in my heart when I pick up my phone and suddenly realize I can’t talk to you within a dial away. I wish I could have one more conversation with you... because right now, I really need it. I really need your love, your encouragement, your comfort. 

I want to let you know that I am trying my hardest in school. Today, I took my Microbiology exam, and I think I did great. :) It was a short response type of exam, and I filled in everything! :) I hope you’re proud of me. 

Sometimes waking up for school and walking on campus knowing that you’re no longer here breaks my heart. But mom, just know that I am working my butt off for you. There are moments where I feel like giving up, but then I think of you and I become reminded of my purpose. 

I love you Mommy, I always have, always will. I hope you are having a blast in Heaven
