i’ve entered the Next Generation of my oc world. about six months ago aaron cooked up Futures for the children of one of my favorite couples about 12 years after the main story. like they were kids in 1997 and this takes place in 2009 when they graduate high school. and it’s So Fun

#the main characters in The Future are the twin sons of my gay dentist #the funniest part is how they basically were created to be a prop for jokes #i wanted my darling character beverly to have a kid. was thinking maybe single mother. at first i gave her a daughter #then i realized it was Far to reminiscent of roz from frasier… especially because she works in radio #so i was like a boy then. two boys. twins. (i love twins)#so then she was this divorced mother of two crazy boys and i could not for the life of me figure out what happened with her husband #then—completely unrelated—i started developing a Couple. one of which i wanted to be a DL married guy #i thought this would be most effectively accomplished if he had kids. so then i remembered i had this poor woman with no ex husband yet #and i was just like. Oh. I’m Sorry Bev.#THUS DIRK AND SAWYER WERE BORN!#the twins’ names are henry and calvin. it’s funny bc they sound Trendy now but in 1991 when they were born they would have sounded like #old man names. which was at least part of her goal. Strong Names #plus she just has weird taste. they’re kind of weird people. some of my favorite characters i ever made btw #anyway one day aaron is just like had visions of their futures. calvin is emo. henry is gay. and it all spiraled out of control from there #i guess i’m shy and that’s why i only tell my characters’ stories in my tags. oh well #txt #i’ve been listening to so much wonderful 2000s music as inspiration #oh the other funny thing is bev’s original design was designed by my friend to be a DIFFERENT character’s ex wife so #it’s all just so funny it happened this way. i love character creation
