Finally caught up just in time for Cassandra’s storyline comeback, and I have so many thoughts.

Honestly, I can’t wait to see if MC ends up being the heir to a French Pureblood family. If that happens, MC's squib grandma has a whole lot of family history to catch up on.

Deep dive incoming:

The theories I see on rednote and weibo saying that what if MC isn’t a Rossignol at all, and the real heir, Rosamund, is just using MC as a pawn to wipe out the other 11 heirs? MC has the combat skills and reputation to do the heavy lifting, making them the ultimate decoy target.

And to take it further: what if Eulalie is Rosamund, or at least working for her? Eulalie, the witness bearer, feeds MC just enough lore to make the fake heir story believable, manipulating MC into clearing the field. Once the competition is gone, Rosamund steps out of the shadows and claims the house without getting her hands dirty.

However, according to canon, a Muggle-born is basically a child of non-magical parents who inherits magic from distant Squib ancestors who married Muggles and forgot their wizarding roots. So MC being claimed by another Pureblood family doesn't actually break canon at all, it just means that her great grandfather—Tiberion Merriweather’s mother was probably a Rossignol, making the Rossignols MC’s distant cousins.

Also, considering Grandma Merriweather is a Squib who didn't even know she had a wizard father and witch sister, it makes me wonder if she and Great Aunt Glenna are full or half-siblings. Either way, Nyle can't inherit because he's a Squib, and Aunt Glenna is already super old. I’m guessing most of those 13 eligible Rossignol heirs are still students.

I always imagined Winnie having a secret crush on Cassandra as one of the reasons I headcanon her as a lesbian, and she gives me demi vibes as well. It's the same for Kevin, because his relationship with Robyn grew out of a close friendship and a strong emotional connection.

Cassie, Robyn, Colby - bisexual 🩷💜💙

Cassandra and Colby both had a crush on MC at some point (again, just a headcanon), and Robyn just gives me "chaotic bi" energy.

Ivy - asexual 💜🩶🤍🖤

Ivy seems like that friend who likes to tease others relentlessly about their crushes but never gets involved herself.

Lottie - queer 🩷💜💙💚

I would have considered Lottie on the aro/ace spectrum as well, since she always seems to do her own thing (and we love her for that), but I think she'd still be a romantic at heart after all.

Abby, Haley (MC) - lesbian ❤️🧡🤍🩷💜

Another headcanon of mine is that after MC confesses her crush on Abby at the end of their 5th year, she is rejected because our favourite wolfgirl wouldn't want to ruin their friendship if the relationship didn't work out.

One thing about not playing MA consistently through the seasons is how much quite pertinent info you end up missing via the mini side events. Which I’m finding more and more true the more videos of them I find on YT.

For example. Did you know that MA does portray Trelawney’s predictions the exact same way as in the books? Complete baloney on the surface but they come true regardless, when nobody’s paying attention. Case in point, the season 15 puzzle event Divination Intervention. Trelawney makes some thoroughly unbelievable predictions about random things. Some are made ’true’ by Hazel’s interference, but. Kid on a broomstick falling from the sky? Need I remind you what happened to Robyn at the start of the current season. A mooncalf stampede? Tell me you didn’t miss season 18. Troll in the trophy room? That was in a mini event I think.
