It is the future. There had been some sort of disaster that had destroyed our civilization and environment as we knew it. There are not many humans or animals left. I see no trees, just desert. Hard cracked earth and blazing sun. There is currently a war going on, the forces of "good" (life, love and beauty) vs the forces of "evil" (for lack of a better word). The evil is winning. I am a man, a soldier, a damn good one, fighting for the "good" side. There are not many of us left, I am one of the last. I am walking through this wasteland carrying the body of a fallen comrade. I desperately need him back. The evil is winning and we need all the help we can get. I come across a high tech dome shaped building, this is my destination. I know I can find help for my friend/comrade here, they can bring people back to life. Upon entering I come across a man, a scientist. This place is a laboratory/hospital. I place the body of my friend on the operating table and the scientist begins to hook him up to a machine. This machine apparently brings life back, but at a "price". I/we will have to sacrifice something sacred, something most precious. I am not sure what, but I do consider it a fair trade. I decide to continue with the procedure. The machine is turned on. I am holding my dead friends hand and looking in his eyes. I see a flutter of movement in his eye, something is there and it is growing in size. As it gets bigger I see that it is a Phoenix, a beautiful, vibrant, colourful, flowing feathered Phoenix. It is twisting and turning and flowing ever so gracefully, it's colours changing along with the flow. It is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. I am mesmerized. I know that the bigger it grows the closer my friend is to life. I wake up. It is interesting to note that at the time of dreaming this I didn't know of the Phoenix or the legend. I didn't even know what it was called, I had described it in my notes as a colourful Chinese rooster type creature (lol). It was this very dream that led me to researching and learning about the Phoenix. #phoenix #apocalypse #dream

February 17, 2009 I'm staying in this hotel, on the upper floor. I want to leave the hotel and go outside. I proceed to the elevator and tell the elevator operator I want to leave, she sighs and looking very annoyed, takes me down. She stops it on the 7th floor and leaves. I try to get the elevator doors to close so I can go to the 1st floor, but the doors will not budge. I step out and this floor is dirty, dingy, the walls are crumbling, cockroaches and garbage everywhere. All of a sudden a man starts shooting at me, so I run into the nearest room. In this room, on the bed, sits a man, woman and little girl. The man is freaking out and has a gun to the little girls head. He says he's going to "blow her brains out". I immediately start trying to calm him down. I start to talk to the little girl. She tells me that this place is evil, that all the girls that have come before me have never gotten out alive. Each one of them suffered horrible deaths. But then she tells me that I will be able to escape because I am "the 13th one". She repeats this over and over, "you're the 13th one, you're the 13th one". So I sit beside her Father (the man holding the gun to her head), and I try to convince him to bring his family and leave with me. He refuses. I say "Don't you want to feel the breeze on your skin? Don't you want to feel the sun on your face? Don't you want to be back on your farm with your horses?" I continue pleading with him, "If you and your family help me escape, and leave with me, I promise you I will buy you a horse." This convinces him, he agrees not to kill his daughter and leave with me. I wake up.
