A year ago many of posted about a small boy named Aylan Kurdi who died with his mother Rehab and his brother Galip. Aylan was 3, Galip was 5 and their mother was 35 years old. A lot of us where posting this picture and writing about how things need to change. How we want to support refugees and what we will do to stop this madness. And what has happened ? What has changed ? The war that caused all this, amongst other conflicts, is still going on. We still talk about building walls. We still talk about how we can keep people out. We still took about how to fix symptoms rather than a root cause. We keep shifting blame. We keep, like a reflex, posting pictures of dead refugees and shocked children on social media - using hashtags to show support. And then what ? I see this picture and think about my own children in that age. All that make us different from those people is that we where lucky to be born in a different place. We are all people. Not Muslims, not Christians, not black, not white, not Asian. We are all people who live on earth.
