Introduction to my BackUp AU I'm working on

This is part 4 of my attempt of adapting the fanfiction "The Aftershow" (<- mind the rating and tags!!!) by @munchiemooz of our shared AU into a comic!

I discovered the Aftershow AU through its art here on Tumblr, which lead me to the Aftershow fanfic, which I’ve now read through multiple times over. I loved it so much, I started a playlist inspired by all of the big fat feelings it made me feel. Partway through playlist building, I discovered One Love, Two Mouths (One Love, One House) and read it straight through in a matter of hours. This playlist now is inspired by both iterations of funnybunny joy.

Both worlds offer the same kind of aching warmth that rises in your chest and persists for hours. These works and characters are crafted with such simultaneous heartfelt detail and intensity of intentionality, like if Jane Austen were granted a Redbull, or like a string of fairy lights powered by nuclear fission.

I wanted to compile songs that sparked that same chest-aching feeling of warmth, honesty, connection; a little yearning, a little bittersweet, wholly genuine. I could write an essay trying to convey the magic I’ve found in the works inspiring this playlist, but I’m hoping that the songs themselves can bridge that lexical gap on my behalf.
