✦     ・    cereal  was  never  olivia's  first  choice  for  actual  breakfast,  yet  she  found  herself  in  the  recovery  bowl  loading  up  a  bowl  of  cereal  in  her  rush  before  her  morning  class.  "  does  this  actually  fill  you  up  to  last  the  morning?  "  she'd  tried  to  pick  something  that  had  more  to  it  then  just  sugar.

✦     ・     "  i  need  your  opinion  please.  "  she  turned  to  her  companion  as  she  pulled  out  her  latest  sketch.  "  what  do  you  think  of  this  design?  give  me  your  honest  opinion.  "

✦     ・     "  i  missed  the  last  hockey  house  party,  please  tell  me  there  will  be  another  soon.  "  she  knew  that  there  would  be  another,  they  often  celebrated  their  wins  in  that  exact  manner.  "  i  don't  want  to  miss  the  next  one.  "

✦   ・   "  i  need  a  coffee.  "  she  muttered  to  herself  mostly.  she'd  been  focused  on  a  sketch  for  her  class  and  could  feel  the  way  that  her  eyes  felt  heavy  from  the  feeling  of  being  exhausted.  "  do  you  want  to  join  me  at  the  quad  coffeehouse?  "  she  asked  the  person  seated  next  to  her.  "  my  treat.  "

✦     ・    "  what  are  you  drinking?  "  he  asked  the  other  as  he  took  a  seat  across  from  them  in  the  campus  cafe.  setting  his  coffee  down  before  pulling  out  a  textbook  of  his.  "  the  other  seats  were  all  taken,  hope  you  don't  mind.  "

✦     ・     the  hockey  house  was  almost  never  a  quiet  place,  especially  in  the  common  areas  like  the  living  room.  between  the  six  of  them  that  actually  lived  in  the  house  and  the  people  that  were  constantly  coming  by.  brooks  hadn't  been  home  for  long  before  someone  walked  through  the  front  door.  looking  at  the  figure  in  the  dimly  lit  room  he  recognized  her  immediately.  "  layla.  "  he  greeted  the  female.  "  looking  for  elijah?  "

✦     ・     brooks  wasn't  afraid  to  admit  that  he  enjoyed  a  long  hot  shower  after  a  hard  practice.  it  was  often  that  he  took  the  longest  in  the  shower,  letting  the  hot  water  roll  off  his  skin  releasing  the  tension  as  it  fell  to  the  floor.  with  him  taking  longer  it  wasn't  uncommon  for  the  locker  room  to  be  empty  by  the  time  he  shut  the  water  off.  however  this  time  as  he  turned  the  corner  from  the  showers  to  the  lockers  he  spotted  the  male  sitting  on  the  bench.  "  you're  still  here?  "  the  blonde  spoke  to  the  captain  as  he  reached  for  his  clothing  to  change  into.  "  something  bothering  you?  "

✦     ・     it  wasn't  unusual  for  someone  to  be  waiting  for  one  of  the  hockey  team  members  outside  of  the  locker  room.  yet  for  some  reason  as  he  stepped  out  of  the  now  empty  locker  room  he  jumped  at  the  sight  of  someone  there.  "  jesus  don't  scare  someone  like  that.  "  he  claimed  dramatically  while  clutching  his  chest.  "  are  you  waiting  for  someone?  i'm  pretty  sure  everyone  else  already  left.  "

✦    ・    " how was practice the other day? kai left me standing outside waiting for him while he took a shower longer than i do. " she was mostly joking, but she had waited outside for him longer than she thought she would have. showing up just before they would have hit the locker room. "

✦    ・    "  don't  tell  me  that  they're  all  out  of  the  fruity  pebbles.  "  she  said  to  the  person  ahead  of  her  in  the  line.  was  it  the  best  nutritional  breakfast  for  her  to  be  consuming?  no,  but  it  satisfied  something  in  the  new  yorker  that  she  went  for  a  bowl  of  it  at  least  once  a  week  at  the  recovery  bowl.  "  and  no,  fruit  loops  do  not  compare.  "

✦   ・   "  we've  barely  even  started  this  year  and  i'm  already  swamped.  "  kitty  sighed  as  she  leaned  towards  her  roommate.  "  please  tell  me  that  i  am  not  the  only  one.  "  not  that  she  actually  wanted  anyone  else  to  be  feeling  stressed  at  the  beginning  of  the  semester,  but  she  certainly  did  not  want  to  be  the  only  one.

✦  ・  the  quad  coffeehouse  had  been  somewhere  that  kitty  had  always  enjoyed  studying.  though  at  times  the  cafe  could  often  be  crowded  leaving  no  where  for  her  to  actually  sit.  that  was  the  case  that  afternoon.  with  her  books  in  one  arm,  her  bag  hanging  off  of  her  shoulder,  and  the  largest  cup  of  iced  coffee  she  could  have  ordered  in  her  hand  she'd  been  searching  for  an  open  chair.  finally  spotting  the  other  with  an  open  seat  at  their  table.  "  is  that  chair  open?  "

✦  ・  kitty  had  always  been  close  to  her  elder  brother,  so  much  so  that  when  it  had  come  time  for  her  to  choose  a  university  to  attend  she  chose  the  one  that  her  brother  was  already  attending.  she'd  grown  up  watching  him  on  the  ice  so  it  only  made  sense  for  her  to  attend  every  single  one  of  his  games.  the  younger  of  the  two  hadn't  seen  him  the  night  before  at  the  party,  but  she'd  made  plans  to  meet  up  with  him  after  his  morning  practice.  standing  outside  of  the  hockey  arena  as  she  waited  for  him.  "  finally.  "  she  teased  as  she  saw  him  emerge  from  the  doors.  "  did  you  need  to  take  the  worlds  longest  shower  after  practice  to  make  your  baby  sister  wait  even  longer?  "  she  teased.
