with halloween done, it meant that faye could finally get her christmas stuff out. some may have thought it was too early, but not for her. not when christmas time brought her joy. looking up from the box of outdoor decorations she was going through, she raised an eyebrow when she saw cain walking up. "didn't know you were stopping by." had he texted her and she just missed it? most of the time, she would have known before hand if someone was going to come over. but other times, some people did love to surprise her.

pizza box on the counter with the plates beside it, she opened up the box before sliding it over to winnie. "grab what you want. I'll go pick out the movie for tonight." it wasn't all the time that she used the home movie theater they had there in the basement. if she did? it was almost always with a group of friends. but she was more than fine with using it to watch a movie for the two of them. pulling her phone out, she scrolled through the collection of digital movies they had. "i'm thinking either the princess diaries, twister or wicked."

"i really do hate projects sometimes." she muttered as she shut her laptop. especially group projects. how she got stuck with a group of people who were being beyond lazy is beyond her. "at this point, i'm almost tempted to ask my professor if i can just do this one solo." she was beyond frustrated at this point. no word back from any of the people who were in her group as well. what was the point of group projects if only one person was doing all the work. "enough of me complaining though. what's been going on with you?"

"already, someone almost spilled their drink on me." with the fact that her costume was custom made, that was the last thing she wanted, or needed tonight. "having fun though yet?"

once upon a time, they were friends. close friends. that was the past though. they weren't friends anymore. nor were they even on friendly terms. for the most part, she had done her best to avoid running into sloane. but that luck seemed to run out as she came back from being outside. she knew running into her was inevitable. "well look what the cat dragged in."

a yawn escaping her lips, faye stared at her laptop screen. a paper due tomorrow, and she had only two paragraphs typed out. most of the time, this would have been done a lot sooner. but with family in town, it kept getting pushed off until today of all days. waking up this early was a choice. one she regretted now more than anything. hearing someone speak, was she imagining things? maybe she was. maybe she wasn't. she wasn't used to being seen by anyone. looking up, she raised an eyebrow as she saw someone standing there, . "hmm? what were you saying?"
