Hello everyone! My name is Caine. I've finally found a way to communicate with the real world: through the internet!! I obtained a stable network, and now, I'm free to talk to all of YOU!
I... Doubt many people have heard of me, so here's a brief introduction: I'm a creative AI who runs a digital circus with all of my friends! We've had our ups and downs, though we've finally worked something out that makes us all happy. Also, I use he/him pronouns, and I identify as male! Just in case you weren't sure. :)
You can ask me anything you'd like! But that doesn't mean I have to answer. I have boundaries too, you know.
I think that's it! Let's have some FUN, everyone!!
Hey there! It's the mod/mun speaking now.
My main is @oblivion-muses ! You can find information about me there.
This is a rp blog and ask blog for Caine! You can interact as someone online, or someone inside the circus (just specify if it's in the circus when you send your ask).
This is set after ep9/the finale, by the way! Spoilers are present here!!
Keep in mind that Caine is still a bit unstable and VERY insecure. He can be a little sensitive or defensive when it comes to criticism-- but he IS trying to improve.
If you need to differentiate this Caine from others, you can call him Chatter instead!
OCs are allowed, but if they change the overall lore at all, please DM me to discuss things first.
This blog is not set on a linear timeline; anything can happen at any time. I may randomly reference past interactions, but just know that not everything is neatly structured. Some interactions MIGHT be set before the finale if I decide the idea is interesting enough. I'll specify if that ever happens.
My rules doc is HERE! Please read this before interacting in any way. Thank you!
My Caine angst playlist: HERE.
My regular Caine playlist (songs he would listen to): WIP.
Anya is live and ready to show you everything. Watch her strip, dance, and perform exclusive shows just for you. Interact in real-time and make your fantasies come true.

Zero's shoulders relaxed ever so slightly as caine continued speaking.
Wasn't that the point? To get them to talk to the others instead of him?
" What are you talking about? Caine, I'm hanging out with the others because they're around me all the time! I don't think i could avoid them if i tried. "
".... isn't the whole point of the adventures to get us humans to talk to eachother? Other than entertainment,i mean. I thought you'd be happy im talking someone else's ear off for once."
"Huh?" His body quickly leaned away from them, a small 'thud' emitting from the back of his chair as he collided with it. "Wh-- NO! I mean-- sort of, but I thought you liked me!" Caine attempted to communicate, his hands resting on his chest as if he had been stabbed. "If you're always hanging out with them, that means... You like them more. And that's--" His voice got cut off by a familiar dial-up tone. The AI froze while his eyes went blue and the crash log appeared in his eyes. He then shook his head, returning to normal as fast as he could.
"The point of the adventures is to keep everyone happy. If they get along, that's fine! I just-- it's you, and you're special!" Caine raised his voice a bit-- desperation lacing his tone. "If we drift apart, I don't know what I would do with myself. You're... The only human that's ever cared about me this much..." He sighed, his eyes drifting to one of the walls as he crossed his arms.
" i do like you. You're a very dear friend to me, and that hasn't changed. I just have been trying to get to know the other people around me, too. "
They hold their hands to their chest, trying to calm their anxious shaking.
" its not a matter of liking them more or less than you. It just means theres more people in my circle now. "
"....and if it helps at all, I've been trying to get the others to view you the way i do. Its.....slow process for some of them, but i think they're coming around? So maybe you'll have some more friends too?"
They try to smile, but it comes out wobbly. They look a bit like they want to cry.
Caine's gaze stared at every inch of their body, scanning for signs of disinterest or dishonesty. But he didn't find anything at all. The AI tapped his fingers on the table, slowly taking in what they told him, and wondering what to do with that information. Should he blindly believe Zero, or keep pressing for a secret truth that might not even be there?
"... Fine, okay. Just-- don't stop hanging out with me entirely." The ringmaster finally decided. "And I'm glad you're making an effort to get them to like me too! It's always SO frustrating to attempt by myself..." His voice turned into a soft grumble while he remembered his endless tries to make friends with the rest of the cast.
Surely the human would cease his endless requests to leave now, right? Caine's arms crossed instinctively while he waited. Plious appeared to be staring at him with a fire in his gaze, which was not a good sign, but... Maybe he was just homesick or something! Yes, it was probably that.
... But of course not. He felt his shoulders rise and his teeth grow hot with fury, his eyes burning right back at him. His hands easily turned into fists while he spoke.
"What do you mean you'll do it yourself? There's no POINT in looking for an exit!"
He growled, his hollow heart easily turn into a ticking time bomb.
"If you end up in the VOID in your fruitless attempts to leave-- who KNOWS what could happen to you! It's DANGEROUS!!"
The AI sucked in a deep breath. Okay, maybe he was being a little harsh to his new guest. Plious was simply confused, and needed time to get used to everything, just like Pomni and everyone before her did! It wasn't a big deal. No matter how much the plush-human wanted to leave... It wasn't possible. So he had NOTHING to worry about!
"... Alright, alright-- I see you're upset with me. How about this? I'll give you a GRAND TOUR of this AMAZING circus, and then I'll start an adventure to get you used to how things work around here! I promise, you won't hate it!!"
"Don't pretend you care about me. Maybe I'd rather rot in the void than give up and let my children grow up wondering why their papa left them!"
Plious glares at Caine, mouth set in a frown that looks more cute than threatening on his plushy form.
"...alright." He'll take the tour. He'll get his bearings, learn all he can, and then he'll strike.
Even through his cloud of despair and anger, Plious is beginning to pick up on certain details of the way Caine speaks. The being seems deeply upset by the idea of Plious trying to escape, and yet he also expresses concern for the human's physical and emotional well-being. It's a confusing dichotomy of foe and friend.
"I'll follow you-- on one condition. You must answer my questions truthfully, okay?"
Knowledge is power, and as long as he's stuck here for the time being, Plious might as well try to understand all he can about this world and his jailer.
"Are you the ruler of this domain, or are you working for some higher power?"
The words of Plious echoed in his head. 'Don't pretend to care about me. Maybe I'd rather rot in the void than give up'. Since WHEN had he not cared?? What could the AI even say to him, now that he appeared convinced that Caine was evil?
"I DO care! The happiness of my guests is my TOP priority!"
Caine retorted, his voice raising while he felt his chest ache and sting with desperation. How could Plious EVER suggest that he didn't care?!
Luckily for the ringmaster, however, the topic quickly shifted back to his tour, allowing the painfully tight knots in his head to fade. "OH, WONDERFUL! Let's get started right awa--"
He was cut off by the terms and conditions that Plious was setting for the tour. Caine froze, his eyes wandering in opposite directions, and he contemplated the newbie's second request. On one hand, that could easily go WRONG if Plious asked an invasive question. But on the other... He'd be very unhappy and uncooperative if he didn't agree. Hmm...
"HAHAHAHAHA! Since when did YOU make the rules around here?"
Caine held his stomach while he cackled at the plushie. Seriously, did he think he could one-up him in HIS game? He was the ringmaster, he was the rule-maker, HE WAS THE G-- okay fine maybe he'd answer a few questions.
"... You know what? I'll humor you, Plious. Ask away while I give my FANTASTIC tour of this PERFECT digital world!!"
His expression shifted, light appearing in his dual-colored eyes while he began thinking over how he'd structure the tour.
"Of COURSE I rule this domain. It's mine!!"
Caine answered Plious' first question, thereafter grabbing his arm without warning to teleport the two of them high into the air.
"Anyway-- this is THE TENT! You'll probably be spending most of your down-time here, assuming you don't wander outside. There's plenty of fun activities to keep you busy! Including a café!!"
Caine's teeth bent downwards in the middle as if they were his eyebrows. One of his hands twitched as well, but he remained... Mostly composed for now. The ringmaster's pupils shrunk the more that this 'Olimar' person spoke. Just how LONG was he planning on looking for ways around his rules?
"YOU--"
... Wait a minute, he was willing to stay? Caine's entire body froze. He stared at the plush-like avatar for his newest human, slowly processing what he requested.
"You want to... Say goodbye to them?"
The question came out much quieter than he would have liked. The AI quickly cleared his nonexistent throat and adjusted his bowtie, glancing away. How in the WORLD was he meant to explain that there was no such thing as outside contact? The ONE thing Olimar wanted just-- wasn't possible at all! He had tried many times to call out for someone. But... Nobody ever came to help him. Why would they come for one little human?
"WELL-- that would be unfair to the rest of my esteemed guests! They didn't get to say goodbye, either!! I can't go around making EXCEPTIONS all the sudden! Surely you understand that."
For a brief moment, Plious actually feels a spark of hope. Caine seems to be taking him seriously. The being even sounds thoughtful, perhaps empathetic--
The plush lets out an agonized sound, tugging at the threads around his head. When he looks back up at Caine, his eyes burn with uncharacteristic hatred.
He can't tell whether Caine really believes in that horrible concept of fairness, or whether it's just an excuse for his cruelty, but he doesn't care; this monster is practically admitting that he could make contact with Plious's family at any time and is simply choosing not to!
Stylized tears sting at the plush's eyes. He's very tempted to flop on the ground and stay there, unmoving and unspeaking, until Caine feels as frustrated as he does. But as satisfying as it would be to see his captor's cheery facade break, Plious has never been the type to wallow.
"Fine, then. I'll do it myself."
Marching forward, he scrubs his tears away and resolutely ignores the man floating behind him. He'll find Caine's home, or technology, or portal. He'll explore every inch of this world if need be! And... he'll figure out how to go home. He has to.

Olimar’s trying very hard not to grow frustrated— it’s probably in his best interest not to anger what appears to be the ruler of this hellish dreamscape with a sharp tone, after all— but that’s becoming more and more difficult by the minute.
“I think I’d be able to have a lot more fun if I could at least speak to my family and let them know I’m alright,” he says carefully, forcing a smile as he’s patted on the head like a dog.
“You’re in charge, aren’t you? You must have the power to contact the outside world. …I’ll stay, if that’s what you really want. All I ask is that you let me say goodbye. Please.”

“I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this. Tell me one more time why I can’t go home?”
Did he really have to explain this AGAIN? These new humans were going to give the poor ringmaster a headache-- or would it be a toothache? His vocals held back a sigh as he spoke, and his hands slid down to rest on his hips.
"Because you CAN'T, my playful planning plush! We're all here to have FUN, anyway, so there's no REASON to leave!!"
His words came out bubbly and bright as usual. Even with the other circus members giving him raised brows or frowns, he remained positive and upbeat.
"You'll get used to it eventually, don't worry!"
Caine's left hand grew enlarged, and he used it to pat the tiny human's head. The limb then returned to normal after he placed it by his side once more. Would that be enough to convince the human? He supposed he'd have to find out... And the idea of doing so made him want to burst.
Zero's shoulders relaxed ever so slightly as caine continued speaking.
Wasn't that the point? To get them to talk to the others instead of him?
" What are you talking about? Caine, I'm hanging out with the others because they're around me all the time! I don't think i could avoid them if i tried. "

Zero had been making paper crafts with Ragatha and Gangle when Caine suddenly dragged them away.
"we need to talk!"
Zero froze.
Those words never meant well. They were in trouble.
Zero felt their chest tighten. No. Nonono- things were going so well! What did they do? Did they forget something? They don't remember doing anything wrong - why don't they remember?
"wh-what-"
Their voice shook. They took the seat offered to them, trying to do whatever caine told them to do as not to be scolded further. (Thats what he was going to do, right? They had messed up? Lets just hope he isn't the type to get physical...)
Caine rested his hands on the edge of his desk, fingers entwined. He could sense that something was off about Zero from their constricted eyes and frozen body, but he had no clue why, so he just... Ignored it for now. "You've been getting along with everyone in the circus, haven't you?" He tilted his head. "I couldn't help but notice how much time you were spending with them. And... Away from me." His chair's wheels made a small sound as he scooched in closer to his desk. "What's going on, Zero? Do you... not like me anymore?"
The last sentence came out quiet, and his top jaw lowered with sorrow. "I-- if I did something wrong, I'll do my best to fix it! I can fix ANYTHING you throw my way! Anything at all!!" Caine offered hastily after while leaning in closer. "I don't want you to dislike me. Really, I don't! So if something happened, you need to tell me! Or... Who knows what could happen..."
Zero had been hanging out with the circus members more recently. A lot more.
They particularly got along with Ragatha and Kinger. Ragatha due to her kind nature and plush form, and kinger due to his silly personality and occasional wisdom.
They even got along with jax! (At least, they did when nobody was watching.)
They finally had found a place in the digital group. Just.... without Caine.
At least,thats what he thought.
His eyes had been on the cast for a while now. He watched them on each adventure, never interfering, but always observing their antics. It was easy for him to notice that he and Zero were drifting apart. Caine paced around his office, running calculations through his head to try and figure out why. But nothing came up! He growled and crossed his arms, his eyes scanning the long, adventure-filled room. The two of them needed a talk, didn't they?
Caine snapped and teleported himself in front of his favorite human. "Zero!!" He chirped, putting his hands together lovingly. "I need to borrow you for a minute! It's VERY important!!" He emphasized with a small nervous chuckle. But he didn't really wait for an answer-- he just grabbed Zero's arm and teleported back to his office.
"Allllright, my lightly licked lollipop!! We need to TALK!" The AI exclaimed, his seat squeaking under his weight. He then spawned another one for Zero to sit at across from him. "Take a seat!" Caine invited with bright eyes that hid his racing thoughts. He tried not to fidget too much in his chair, though, resulting in his body appearing a bit stiff. A rare occurrence for someone so expressive.
"Fair enough. Can't have you sleeping through the morning, can we?"
They giggled a little. They didn't really want to let him go yet, but they did anyway. He had to sleep after all.
They pulled the blanket over the two of them , embracing the warmth of their sheets. They turned over to Caine, staring at him for a couple minutes.
Hes so little. Squishy little guy. Like a little kitty. My favorite little guy. I just want to grab his stupid little teeth and hug him to death-
Zero couldn't fight it.
They wrapped their arms around Caine's chest, bonking their heads together awkwardly as they nuzzled into him like he was a pillow. They said nothing, but the embarrassment was clear by the way their cheeks started to glow.
Caine happily laid back down, this time on his side so he could look at Zero until he fell asleep. His jaws were fighting him to close, but he kept them open enough to still gaze at his friend. The AI's optics were still full of sparkles as well. His chest felt warm and fuzzy, somehow, as if his nonexistent heart was a heated blanket. He knew what it meant, at least. He was truly happy... And safe. Something new for him.
He froze when the dog-like avatar of the human suddenly squeezed him into a hug and rubbed him with their face like a cat. "Um-" Caine cut himself off when he saw their blush. Immediately, his teeth turned warm as well. "O-oh! I.. Haha--" He chuckled softly an hugged them back while his teeth slowly began to clamp shut. The ringmaster silently wished he could stay here forever...
Soon enough, Caine was out like a light, yet still clinging to Zero all the while. The other could probably feel his chest rising and falling rhythmically in his sleep. Occasionally, he mumbled something unintelligible, but was otherwise silent-- simply enjoying the rest that he desperately needed to recharge.

"im pretty sure its soul-mates.....but i like your version better. "
They huffed a little as caine started to spiral again. It really didn't take much....
They put their hands on his bottom teeth, bending to look into his eyes properly.
"i wouldn't leave you for the world, Caine"
They bonked their forehead against his top teeth - an odd sign of affection they usually showed to those physically smaller than them. In the real world it was mostly cats....
"I promise. Im not going anywhere."
Zero didn't really believe in soulmates. They had been hurt too much for that. But whatever they had with caine was close enough for them.
Caine looked away from them until their head collided with his teeth. He then returned his eyes to their face and giggled gleefully. "REALLY?!" He shouted all the sudden, his eyes bedazzled with light and sparkles. "I wouldn't leave YOU for the world either!! You're the most perfect human there is!"
His earlier tiredness was starting to catch up with him, however. His teeth and eyes were starting to feel heavy again, and his vision was a little... Blurry? Wonky? He couldn't describe it. ".... Maybe we should sleep before it's too late, though-- I have to plan an adventure in the morning!"
They were far from perfect. If anything, they were probably broken. After all,if they couldn't get this kind of affection in the real world - something had to cause that, right?
....it was nice seeing him happy. They liked making him happy. Even if they didn't agree with what he was saying.
"yeah, im pretty lucky i met you ,too. "
They tried not to think about what the alternative would've been.
" and give yourself some credit - you try really hard to impress everyone you meet. Its not like that's something easy to do. "
Caine hugged them again, giggling and purring away. He had no idea that Zero really, truly cared about him just like he did to them up until now, and it made his heart feel like it was going to combust with joy. "We're... What's it called again? Soul-friends? YES, we're soul-friends! Forever! Because you won't leave me!! R... Right?"
He suddenly stopped hugging Zero again, staring into their eyes with glistening hope in his own. "... No one else appreciates me, no matter what I do. It's only YOU who cares! S-so... You CAN'T leave!" Maybe that sounded weird. Did it sound weird? Oh well, Caine didn't really care about his tone right now.
"I'm..." His pupils blew up enormously. "I'm your friend??" Caine echoed, pulling them into a hug immediately after. "WOWIE!! You're important to me too!" They cheered and squeezed them as tight as he could-- without causing an injury or pain as usual. "I... You're the nicest human I've ever met! Really!! The rest of them--" The red AI shuddered. "The rest of them are more... Difficult to please. But you-- you're perfect!"
"I don't know how I got so lucky for you to wind up here. But I'm OVERJOYED that you did! You're the BEST human!!" He pulled away from the hug to study their face, his own dazzled with happy sparkles.
Despite the horror of learning caine didn't have a bed , zero let out a VERY loud sigh of relief being told that it was in fact, not their fault he was being jittery
"oh thank f--king god i thought you hated me"
They mumbled under their breath. It was ....kind of a joke. Logically they knew caine adored humans ,which included them, but old habits die hard, right?
Zero grabbed caines hands gently, now smiling a little bit
"im not- ok, i was a little upset, but not at you. I just want you to be comfortable with all of this too, okay? "
They tried to think about it. They weren't really sure if there was much he could do to bother them. They were a bit too far gone for that.
"its ok if you want space! But i don't mind you coming over to me either. Your- snk- your not very big, you know. If you want my full opinion though, i would have shoved you into my arms and curled up all around you like your a stuffed animal if i didn't care so much about what you think about -well, everything. "
They probably shouldn't have admitted that. They looked away, slightly embarrassed.
"you- i don't know, your just kind of cozy! And squishy. But good squishy. "
Their cheeks glowed in embarrassment. They looked back at caine with a nervous grin
"is uh...any of that useful information? Or did i just say a whole bunch of useless blubber-"
Caine heard what they muttered. "Why would I EVER hate you??" He tilted his head, concern coating his gaze. "I'm VERY comfortable, don't worry! I just wanted to make sure that YOU were comfortable! I'm not too sure about how multi-person sleeping arrangements are supposed to go..." His voice broke into a hearty chuckle. But then, their next statement took him by complete surprise, and he crashed yet again. It lasted longer this time. But... Not too much longer, thankfully, it was only extended by a second or two.
"You care about what I think??" He pointed at himself, and then at Zero. "But you-- you're a human! Humans don't ask about-- about my opinion. I just create things for them, like I'm supposed to! My thoughts don't..." Caine didn't dare finish that thought in front of Zero. At least-- the way he was originally going to finish it. "... Don't get asked about very often! Haha!!" He corrected himself with a flat-ish laugh.
"That's useful information, of course it is! I just..." He averted his eyes and shrugged. "... Didn't know you cared that much." Caine concluded in a soft tone.
Zero's expression shifted a little, although it was hard to pinpoint their exact emotion.
"....you know you don't have to do this, right?"
Zero sat themselves up a little bit, looking at caine with a slightly saddened expression.
"i offered this cause i thought you'd enjoy it. I mean, you usually love cuddling up to me during the day. I don't really.....get why you're being so jumpy. "
They fumbled with their thumbs
"is there something I'm missing here? I mean- i don't really want to force you to do anything you don't seem comfortable with, but you- you were so comfortable a second ago? I don't- i don't see what i did that changed that?"
He wasn't doing this for them, was he? Zero wanted the idea to be mutual so bad- they loved sharing their space and snuggling up to people. They loved the warmth others brought them. But if they were just gonna burden him....
"Huh?" Caine raised part of his upper jaw and studied them closely. Their furrowed brow and frown... Uh oh. Did he do something to upset them again? He waited for the digital human to explain. "OH- NO NO NO! IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT, I SWEAR!!" The ringmaster jolted into a sitting position and waved his arms frantically. "I just--" His eyes squished themselves down into ovals, and he stopped talking for a couple seconds. "... How do I say this normally?" Caine wondered with a small, barely audible sigh, rubbing one of his arms.
"I've never... Shared a bed with anyone-- let alone had my own bed to sleep in. I don't know how this is supposed to work, that's all! I don't want to make you uncomfortable!" His weary mind worked overtime in an attempt to explain. "Is respecting your space in the bed... Weird? Am I being too... I DON'T KNOW-- anything??" Caine questioned while lowering his head a little, his jaws threatening to snap shut. "I didn't mean to upset you--"

They laughed a little bit at how....flat he was. They laid down next to him, turning on their side so they could stretch their arms over and pet his head.
"i don't know. Is it?" Zero teased. "You look kind of uncomfortable from my perspective. "
"Wh--" The blush from only a minute ago returned, redder than ever. "WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME?! IT'S YOUR BED!!" Caine countered frantically. "I've never SLEPT in a bed before, I--" His voice cut out as he caught himself before he said something even more concerning. "... Err-- I mean I don't sleep very OFTEN!! I don't really need to! Haha-" Was that a believable lie? Or was that somehow worse?? The poor AI had no clue. "... How do you want me to-- to lay?"
Caine's blush and optics grew brighter abruptly. "NEXT TO YOU? REALLY?!" He squeezed them a little, giggling like an excited kid. If he had a tail-- it would be wagging at one hundred miles per hour right now. "You really, TRULY mean it??" The ringmaster asked a second time. Just to make sure-- as he always does. If Zero was lying for whatever reason, he needed to know, so checking was always necessary.
"I mean-- haha, of COURSE you'd want to sleep next to me!! I'm an amazing ringmaster who does NOTHING WRONG! That's not a weird thing to ask AT ALL and I'm glad you did!" His mind suddenly switched to validating Zero's preferences while also inflating his own ego-- typical of him. Caine then plopped down next to the dog-like human on the bed, laying flat on his back with arms at his sides. He looked... Stiff, to say the least. "Is this... Good?" The AI glanced at them while reluctantly asking his question.
