the familiar sensation of incurvated sheets as gideon’s silhouette settled beside her stirred charlotte awake. ‘ gideon ? ’ laying flat on her back, she blinked repeatedly, attempting to rid herself of somnolence as she angled her head to face him. ‘ bad dreams ? ’ charlotte's voice spilled out of her lips as a mere lethargic whisper; even though she had grown accustomed to this particular habit of his, her whole being was too pervaded by languor to be roused completely from slumber, especially at an ungodly hour like this. she turned to her side & tugged at the covers, nestling closer to the familiar lineation of his soma with her eyelids barely open, but with her mind awake & her ears ready to listen. 

Come on, group hug! You too, Anger. Don’t touch me.

all that romeo’s fortuitous presence had done was impel charlotte to take a trip down unsung memory lane. he was a ghost, & the day she’d espied him after an ample amount of time had seemed almost transcendental. the mere thought that he was currently in close proximity, breathing the same air, traipsing over the same ground conjured a melange of emotions inside of her, & charlotte knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly at night if she didn’t, in one way or another, do anything about it—so here she was, standing before his door, rocking back & forth on the heels of her feet as she cogitated on whether or not it was, in fact, a sound decision to engage in conversation with him to the exclusion of everyone else. she came to a decision soon enough, & the knuckles of her elfin hand rapped on romeo's door, her pulse slightly erratic as she grew increasingly anxious about what could possibly take place.
