Eloise is too real this season. The struggle of hating the patriarchy but then seeing your friends/family in healthy relationships and feeling like you’re left behind. They don’t mean to exclude you but you can’t relate to their stage in life but you don’t even know if you want that. I relate to her so much. Also I love that she’s straight. Not all women who don’t dream of marriage and finding a man are lesbians. Some are straight and trying to figure it out

listen, I'm happy Gladys isn't as miserable as we thought she'd be but it would have been very valid to explore what happened when women in this time period were pressured into unhappy marriages by their families. It feels like the easy way out to build up all this tension about a very real and scary issue (that still happens to women in the modern day!) and then go "oh but it all worked out, so nothing to worry about!" Idk I think it might be because this is very much a comfort show for a lot of people and they don't want to write about anything too dark and gritty?...which is surprising because it's an HBO historical show but whatever.
also not liking how much Sarah is villainized (she's not likeable but damn it's so fair that she's anxious about her position being taken away) while Hector gets of scott-free for being spineless (unless he has selfish motives that give him a reason to put his foot down)
Also...the way the marriage was consummated reaaallly needs to be addressed. Gladys was pressured into having sex and then it just never got addressed -- and I know that in this time period it probably wouldn't have been seen as a big deal, but I do think there's value to encouraging a contemporary audience to critique that.
One of my favorite episodes of NCIS is coming on Berlin. My top 10 are
1. Season 7, Episode 13 Jet Lag (how you can see the sparks between Tony and Ziva)
2. Season 3, Episode 8 Under Covers (where Tiva was officially born)
3.(tie) Season 10, Episode 21 Berlin (the dance between Tony and Ziva)
Season 7, Episode 1 Truth of Consequences (Tony rescuing Ziva and telling her He couldn't live without her)
5. Season 7, Episode 2 Reunion (for the simple fact that Tim delivers the stupid but absolutely funny line 'I'm going to get a Nutter Butter)
6. Season 4, Episode 9 Twisted Sister (for the simple fact when Sarah met Tony and Ziva she was able to clock them as Tommy and Lisa instantly)
7. Season 6, Episode 2 Agent Afloat (as Ziva catches Tony with the pictures he took of her in Los Angeles when they had accompanied Jenny there, showing his feelings for her were more than friendship)
8. Season 8, Episode 23 Swan Song (for the simple fact with the way Tony is so gentle and sweet to Ziva comforting her after Franks' murder)
9. Season 10, Episode 12 Shiva (how Tony not only takes care of Ziva after Eli's murder but how he brings Schmiel to help too)
10. Season 6 Episode 9 Dagger (how Ziva protects Tony and how they work together to save Amanda. It's just so sweet.)

Benedict kissing Colin and Colin just being there accepting it with no reaction tells me that this happens more often than shown, and I can just imagine Anthony and Benedict just kissing their little brother incessantly just to annoy him and Colin just sitting there not being able to do anything but accept it makes my heart melt
