Since this is apparently a concern with new accounts that just start following people, I will write a short introduction about myself to hopefully prove that I am not a bot.
I am Chaostheorie on AO3, fairly new to the whole online fandom thing, and now dipping my toes into fandom on Tumblr.
I go through various fandom obsessions, my current main ones are the queer historical romance novels by British author KJ Charles and the long-running German crime show Tatort, as well as Lord of the Rings. I usually read a lot, mostly speculative fiction and romance.
I live in Europe, but have variously lived in Europe and North America throughout my life and have cultural ties to both. I speak English, German, Dutch and some French.

The other day my wife told me about this influencer who said she needed to go on ozempic so she could go from 130 lbs down to 115 and I really cannot stress the degree to which we have so COMPLETELY lost the plot with this glp1 shit. Like not only are people are going on this shit for purely cosmetic purposes, the cosmetic purposes are delusional. This is the kind of mindset that gives people eating disorders but now because you can get a prescription instead of having to starve yourself or enduce vomiting a big swath of the general public seems eager to go along with it. used to think it terribly silly (and kinda funny) when fantasy or sci-fi stories would have people refer to major recent historical events as The Flood or The Incident or The Revolution, and im sure historians fucking hate that because it's not helpful or descriptive, but we sure do be calling it The Pandemic
I love asking people how their parents met. You always get an interesting reply. My best friendâs parents met on the relatively new internet in 1999. My other friendâs parents met at Burger King when one was the manager and the other was a regular customer. My parents met at the beach because they were neighbors in their rental houses, mom was on a church trip and dad was getting blackout drunk every night with his friends next door.
Not sure why it's a new trend among fic readers to assume if the fic has not been posted within the week it's inappropriate to comment on it, like the fic has to be hot out of the oven to give feedback for.
I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.
Just comment on the fic. Doesn't matter how old it is.

b) I found the paper theyâre citing and itâs actually really sweet and a really cool study to read! not at all too dense
some highlights:
this is VERY sweet
(this paper came about bc they were having trouble identifying participants by âtraditionalâ recruitment methods like posting flyers and contacting LGBT networks/support groups, and also didnât want to skew the data toward people who would frequent these)
they also tried making profiles on dating sites butâŚ..Â

Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.

Alternate Universe takes on our favorite storiesâbe they shows or books we love, or tales of our creationâcan be a delightfully fun way to explore what makes those stories tick, what makes those characters who they are, and what in them is important to why we enjoy them.
