ah fuck it, the siblings ever
How hard is it to not post your kids meltdowns on line? Im so fed up it's insane. They have a right to privacy and you're exploiting them most times without their consent. I just can't right now. I get you want to show others what it is like, but it's not your disability to show. It's your child's. This topic just infuriates me so bad. And this goes for ALL disabilities not just autism
With the Astroworld documentary coming out, it's another reason I will never go to a concert by myself. I will pay for a second ticket if someone can't afford it because I will not risk it. I also will always try to go with others so they won't go alone bc I couldnt imagine that happening to anyone let alone someone Im close to. Please stay safe out there and take care of others.
I'm going to see Halsey tomorrow and im totally dressing in 2015 grunge tumblr esc vibe. I feel like there's no way I cant.
Random thought from yesterday: every since I watched supernatural, I can't help but think the song Angel With a Shotgun by The Cab is castiel's song

So I've seen the "this isn't right." "Welcome to degrassi" a couple times before starting season 12. Never did I think it was going to be about Eli fighting homophobia😂 the scene has such a dramatic tone I thought it was something really wrong but no, just gay people existing.
Love this vibe
You are not superior to the person who is nonverbal. You are not superior to the person who needs a carer. You are not superior to the person who wears diapers. You are not superior to the person who can't manage a job or an education. You are not superior to the person who is intellectually and/or cognitively disabled. You are not superior to the people in psych wards and group homes. You are not superior to the person in the wheelchair. You are not superior to the person on disability benefits. You are not inherently superior to any of these people just by virtue of being more capable in comparison. Leave your ableism at the door or don't enter
THIS! I've personally seen this in the autism community specifically. It is so disheartening bc we are all people, nothing can take away from that.
the thing that always gets me ESPECIALLY about autistic representation in media is that we are universally portrayed as happy-go-lucky, whimsical children, completely oblivious to the fact that the world constantly judges and scorns and HATES us.
We notice. I noticed. The reason I am as messed up as I am today is because i spent 20 LONG years in an environment where every day i was subjected to that. To noticing.
what an absolutely neurotypical view of us. Coddling themselves, getting to act like the way they treat us is fine because we don't understand that our peers dont respect us. Why would we? We're so subhuman to them, it's like asking if your cat notices you playfully insulting it.
Every autistic person I've ever met is on some level bitter and angry and TRAUMATIZED at their upbringing. Of having to go through school as the laughing stock, as the weirdo with no friends who no one wants to talk to, as the animal in the corner you can make do cheap tricks so they can experience some Simulacra of what genuine human connection is.
Now tell me, does it sound like I didn't notice?
