the thing I think people don't seem to understand about Chloe's crash out is that she has NOT only known Red for a week. In the new timeline, she has known this girl her ENTIRE LIFE. and I think maybe they don't have those memories immediately, but we see Red remember Pink eventually so maybe, somehow, Chloe FEELS the connection of years towards Red ans she doesn't understand why her best friend is acting like that

d5 would be a far more interesting and coherent story if Chole’s “heartless” crash out was explicitly because her best friend/first lesbian crush was ignoring her for a guy. That is the sort of thing to drive you insane/give you an identity crisis at 16.
The vibes are there, just not the proper supporting story structure. And it wouldn’t even override the ego thing she had going on too

I really have no interest in the Strongheart ship, for a multitude of reasons.... but their duet just makes me GET IT, y'know??
Like for once I really do get it, I can see how they would work even if though I don't think they're the right match for each other personally.
I think Stronghat has way more potential without even bringing in my deep desire for Red to be with Chloe or Hazel (and my devotion to glassheart), but I can imagine the way that my fellow writers will play around with them as a couple, and I can really just see all the ways they'll fit together in fandom works.
(Also, Kylie reminded me so much of Sofia Carson in this sequence for some reason... like she normally does anyway, but this dance was Tickling my brain)
