I witnessed A myriad of my sunflowers Blooming around my garden Yellow, green, and brown decorated my garden.

I listened A wind greeted my flowers, Inviting them to dance As if celebrating their inception At a widely unfolded universe.

I saw A swarm of bees buzzing around my flowers Criss-crossing and going to and fro. To taste sweet pollen Like homeless people fighting to feast on a bread.

I realised That the lifespan of my flowers Is only temporary Their petals will wilt like an uncle whose hair is greying But conceived descendants that will Avert generation from extinct.

I nurtured Their descendants to germinate And grow Like my mum whom raised me.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue.
