Almost almost done.
https://bottledimp.myportfolio.com/berserk-illustration This I left hanging around for a long time and then after I was done with uni I went ahead and finished it. But it took like 30 hours so not proud of that detail a lot, but hey, all I did during uni was a lot of sketching ideas and concepting so this was something I really needed to do to prove to myself I can still make a complete illustration or at least render things. That. and I was done with my internship as well.

Here are some concepts and costume designs that I made for this game idea my friend had (the same guy) that he made with another of his friends.

I have to say how this came along a lot of emotional sickness. This was my very last thing to make for uni, and oh man, the scope I had for it was the most unrealistic shit ever. I wanted to make two more poses per character, something like four environments and props/ weapons, oh and the NPCs were supposed to be coloured and have different outfits too holy crap.Â
That was my work for the whole period. And it may not sound impossible for a three months and change period of time, one could totally clutch that shit. But added to all this I had to do the animatic I posted previously, an internship making a whole level in 3D for a game, a part time job at a call center, having recently broken up with my ex and of course the cherry on top t h e   p a n d e m i c.
I was dead ass miserable tho.
Anyways, all that was almost a year ago and things are better, I’m hopeful they will keep getting better.
I still like these, but they never even got used for the game they where for (i think the guy with 4 arms did tho). Also my life was really not good at that moment. Sour would be a good word to describe it.
Some posters I did for a uni assignment, last one is supposed to be inspired by Hyper Light Drifter, one of my favourite games.

Red Blood Hood [concepts]
This were the concepts I used for that comic/animatic thing I did and legit these were also going to be used for making the game my friend and I where trying to make.
I still REALLY like them. I feel like at that time I was very much making some of my best concept and ideas, just every thing I was producing and putting out felt just right, it felt tight.
It's a really subjective and hard to explain thing and yeah I will still find some flaws on proportions or volumes but the ideas on the costumes and weapons still feel legit.
If I ever come back to this characters to use them in some kind of production/project I will sure as hell have to change things an reiterate the designs (or even better give them more costumes and props yesss) but the foundation I left feels really solid.
Some dinosaur-monster-creature sketches sort of thing I did to practice values.
Some pixel art things I did a while back, I had the idea to make them into some sort of asset pack to sell on the Unity store. But yeah that idea never came to be. Maybe in the future, who knows, I need money.
Hey I like how these two look, I'm kind of proud but still you can see that animation is not my strength. I also have a little this I did for a pilot during uni but I don't think I can legally show it off.

Okay so this was one of my last assignments at uni. It is so bad it's good, It just really cracks me up every time I play it.
The only reason I got away with this is because the class was given by some guy with studies on philosophy or something of that sort, who had not the slightest idea of what we did or what are we supposed to work on when we graduated.
Okay, about this one at least I wanna draft something. This was me trying to put my own project into my school assignments which is honestly the only option I had at the time to just KEEP MY SANITY about me being limited by my daily responsibilities on what I had the time to do. I felt that if I had no space or chance to be creative in any way I could just get incredibly frustrated or sad. It kind of felt like a necessity for me to do this kind of thing. So, about the actual thing, this was supposed to be a teaser comic about a game idea a friend of mine and I, a reinterpretation of the little red riding hood as a game (yeah I know that kind of already exists, but ours was going to be cooler okay?). I was just looking for an excuse to be able to work on the idea, so I made it my school assignment. As you can see, shit did not happen. It really is not a matter of pointing at one thing and being like “Yeah that’s why we didn’t finish it”, it was a melting pot of life situations in both my and my friend’s life (work, school, family, the usual suspects) which accumulated and showed up little by little. As of now the project is on a hard-ass hold by me. Reasons are varied. Anyways it feels good to finally place this thoughts out of my head.
