As you have no doubt noticed, I haven’t been around recently. Unfortunately work has gotten stupidly busy and I don’t really have the spare time or energy to dedicate to the group anymore.

Therefore I am making the decision to step away and close the group. It has been a blast, and thank you to each of you for helping this group come to life. If I’m still around the grpc in October then I will definitely think about reopening for the next Christmas season so keep an eye out for that 👀

Hunter Clarington is currently 29 years old and is a search and rescuer/first aider at the resort. Hunter identifies as pansexual (not public knowledge).

A little about Hunter:

Thanks to his military lifestyle, Hunter speaks English, Greek, a little bit of French and Italian.   Hunter loves to be active.  You can often find him on the slopes skiing, snowboarding, hiking, snowshoeing even on his days off.  Or at a fitness center swimming or working out.  

Hunter has lived in many different states thanks to his father’s ties to the military; with time spent in up state NY, northern California, and Colorado, he is no stranger to snow and winter sports.  Hunter left Dalton and Westerville disgraced.  The steroids’ cheating scandal that he was the face of shook the school.  There is more to the story, but it was covered up for various reasons. Hunter can’t talk about it.  He doesn’t want to talk about it.  

Thanks to his family’s name and money, Hunter went from Dalton to West Point Prep School (high school) where he had to repeat his senior year. West Point’s regular drug testing ensured that Hunter wasn’t at risk for falling into a pattern of drug use or abuse.  After finishing high school, Hunter stayed at West Point and went into the officer training program for his undergraduate degree with a dual major in American Politics and International Affairs.  Hunter spent 5 years in the military after graduating but he quickly realized it wasn’t what he wanted to do.  This job at the ski resort is above what he could do, but it does allow him to use some of his military training in the search and rescue area plus he likes the challenge.  Staying on top of training for that and in first aide is also a bonus for Hunter, and the resort appreciates that he can speak a couple of other languages.  

While at Dalton, and West Point, Hunter often called himself ‘not even remotely bicurious’ but this was actually not true at all.  Hunter was just, even at a teenager, discrete about his orientation and he remains so, although he has dated and slept with a couple of women and men.  However, his sexual/romantic interest in either gender is only truly sparked by an established emotional connection and he is very private about his orientation.  Basically he believes it’s only your business if he’s sleeping with you.

Our next event will be a New Years Eve party thrown by the resort. The party will be held in the main bar with karaoke, drinks and games. There will also be a live band playing from 11pm through to 3am. There will of course be fireworks to help bring 2021 in with a bang too.

To help get everyone in the Christmas spirit, on Monday 21st December, the resort will be hosting an outdoor movie night (weather dependent). 

There will be a big screen projector set up outside with lots of seats and blankets provided. There will also be heaters dotted around to keep everyone toasty, along with hot drinks being served.

There will be two movie screenings:

The Grinch starting at 4.30pm 

Elf starting at 7.30pm

This will not be a Discord event but we do encourage everyone to still take part where possible.

So Sunday 20th December is going to be honesty Sunday. Any anonymous questions received should be answered honestly by every player.

All the answers posted on Sunday and Monday will be considered automatically private (i.e. not viewable by other characters) - although those posted Tuesday or later will be viewable by everyone as normal. 

Please make sure you send every player at least one ask, although the more the merrier!

Hey there. Our roleplay is fairly active and we’re definitely still accepting auditions.

Hi! The admins play Santana and Sugar.

Mike Chang is currently 25 years old and is a snowboarding instructor at the resort. He is originally from Denver. Mike identifies as heterosexual.

A little about Mike:

Mike grew up just outside Denver with his parents Mike Chang Sr. and Julia Chang. Mike’s parents both have high educations as doctor and lawyer respectively and had high expectations for Mike to follow in their footsteps.

As long as Mike can remember the Changs have always used their holidays in the snow. Since Mike was a small child he had been skiing and snowboarding down the hills of various resorts throughout the country. Though his parents did not foresee how strong his interest in snow sports were to become, they were very proud of how good he became over the years. Snowboarding gave him an outlet and a place of where he felt both in control and at peace.

Mike finished high school at the top of his classes, and at the hand of his parents he went to the The University of Colorado Law School. He got the degree, but throughout the experience of going to college he found out he did not want to become a lawyer - he wanted to be active, to do what he had always loved. He wanted to snowboard. And what better way to do so, than to be a snowboard instructor at a resort.
