Not the, “I’m saying something incredibly insensitive in the moment, and that causes conflict between my relationships,” trope, but the kind where either party can’t share what they’re feeling because of some sort of pressure whether it’s internal or external and it’s eating them alive and festering in their soul and choking them all at once. I’m also gonna assume you think about it regularly and it drives you insane a little bit lol!

a friend of mine commented similarly on that post saying they could see “Transistor’s influence” in a lot of my work, which, for those unfamiliar, is the quintessential example of that dynamic. “What if you were so close I was literally carrying you in my hands and yet I couldn’t speak to you” for the whole game. It irrevocably changed me as a person and makes up probably 60% of my personality by this point.

Also thank you for the kind words!! I have a parallel piece I’m planning to go with it, but it’s a bit outside my comfort zone so will likely take some time to finish. And the tomodachi life characters are… neglected, sadly. I have been very busy. But I can happily say:
