Still The One || Raine & Chad
"Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me. She’s average looking anyways. Don’t tell anyone I said that. I don’t want it to be the next scandal on Perez Hilton’s blog," she jested, ordering a tall vodka cranberry for herself as the server walked to their table. "Please, that girl can’t even compare to me. Does she still even perform? Actually, didn’t she tour with the Backstreet Boys? Odd combination."
She laughed at his response, checking her phone as it beeped. It was her mom, asking if she was up for a late dinner with her later. She sent her a quick reply before turning her attention back to her company. “I’m not sure. It’s so weird that people just kind of… fangirl over you and you have absolutely no idea who they are. Flattering but still,” she stated, shrugging her shoulders. She thought about his question about Kiki for a moment, trying to recall the last time she’d talked to her blonde counterpart. “A long ass time. I’ve just been so busy. I mean the last time we were both out of school, she took time to come out on tour with me. It was my first tour and it was a lot easier to make time to hang out with her since we were on the road all of the time. But I haven’t been focusing on music, just acting. So there’s not much I can do since I’m filming all day.”
“I invited you to that concert.” He said stiffly. “I though the reason you hadn’t come was because you were busy…” He added. Chad chuckled and watched as the waitress walked away from their table. “It’s probably because you’re someone they look up to and everything. They want to be like you, Raine. Poor them.” Chad said sarcastically. “It’s the same thing with me and the guys, I miss them, you know…” He shrugged. “I knew we’d end up going different ways… I just wish I could go back and relive high school.”
“I know how you feel, I think I’ve only slept six hours in the last month. It’s my record.” Since he was child, the boy never slept much, however now that he was working as an actor, filming took too much of his time and he didn’t have time left for anything else. “What about your family? How often do you see them?” Chad didn’t see his relatives very much, since they were all very busy and so was the boy. He thanked the waitress when she placed their drinks on the table and waited for her to walk away so they could continue their conversation.
