This is the graph I used to represent a portion of my data.
Does this work well? Would a different style or format work better for this use?

what did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?
I learned about the importance of peer review, and the value of taking time on an initial draft to save time later. I also found the incorporation of data to be an interesting new element in essays.

what did you learn about drafting across multiple weeks that will inform your writing process after college
I learned that the revising process is longer and more important than I had previously thought. Getting feedback is important for developing a better overall essay, and it helps clean up small issues throughout the process.

what elements of data matter in your space? why?
I chose to analyze the youTube gaming space, so the elements of data that would be most important for my conclusions will be audience engagement through likes and comments, views and upload frequency for my case.

what are your ideas/suggestions for graphing your data so it's reported in multiple, meaningful ways?
I think it's important to pick a type of chart that draws the best connection between the data represented. Taking the same data and showing it in another chart type could also further the conclusions you are drawing. For example, you could show some data on a histogram, and then show its relation to time on a line graph.

how are you using comments from me to work through Draft #2?
The feedback I received was to have more continuity between my subheadings, and connect them more. I plan to rework each section a little to allow for a better flow to my conclusions.

what conclusions do you think you can draw and why? how does the data you're collecting connect to those conclusions?
I found that my data doesn't really correlate to my hypothesis, so I plan to draw some other conclusions. I found that when youtubers upload non-traditional videos that are often more authentic, they have higher rates of engagement.

what data graphs do you think will help you SHOW your content strategy conclusions?
A graph that will help show my conclusions would be a bar graph showing the number of each style of gameplay with is divided into number per creator. As an example, total blue is 55 with 37 from A, 13 from B, and 5 from C. I have the graph of my data to demonstrate.
This is a good way to visualize, I hadn't considered showing it this way. This seems to cover the data you intent to cover in your analysis.
What did you learn about data analysis from the data analysis practice project?
The biggest thing I learned is how many different variables there are when looking at data analysis. There isn't a simple x and y and how they correlate, there's an entire alphabet of variables. From the different types of engagement, to the times they are posts, to the types of content. Knowing this going forward, I can create more specific variables to cover more ground when looking at all the data for this final project.
I noticed this too while working through the data analysis project. For this project, I made sure to keep the amount of variables to a minimum to keep myself organized.

what data graphs do you think will help you SHOW your content strategy conclusions?
Since I'm comparing engagement rates between similar videos of different production quality, I think the bets visualization will be a histogram with each bar divided into three (one column for each content creator) and compare the average engagement rate from my data.

where are you with drafting?
Currently, I've laid out the subheadings and started on the introduction. I plan to work through each heading in order unless I find a reason to work in a specific section.

what is meaningful data to answer/address your research question?
My research question focuses on a comparison of engagement on frequency vs quality content within YouTube's gaming space. Primarily I think the data that will be most relevant to this is just the simple metrics of the video (views, likes, comments) and comparing these values to each other, and the performance of the other channels I selected.
Original Content 2
how will your research question help you collect data?
Establishing a research question allows me to narrow the scope of the overall project. Knowing what I want to prove/disprove allows me to focus specifically on the data I need to do that, rather than logging a lot of data that is completely Irrelevant to the final project and research question.
Original Content 1
how will your research question add to the ongoing conversation about content strategy?
My research question focuses on the comparison between quality and quantity of content uploaded to YouTube, I think this can be beneficial to the ongoing conversation about content strategy by applying it to a recent and ongoing debate within the YouTube creator community.
Original content 1
I have already started my research assignment on a select hobby that I personally enjoy. The process for narrowing what content i am focusing on was difficult at first. Although, I ultimately decided on a subject that resonates with me to create a relatable project. This connection I have to the content allows for closer exploration of themes, content, and overall understanding of community feedback. Being able to include my own perspective on the research can provide a unique overlook on the content provided by these accounts. This is a switch from my previous work, which I feel will allow more diverse and organized research. Dungeons and dragons is a strong community of dedicated and beloved fans, including popular figures from the scene creates interesting data and a closer examination of content in the genre.
Picking something you're familiar with is a good idea. I think the D&D space will be interesting to analyze.

research question - what did you learn about writing a research question that can be answered through social media data + content strategy ideas? How will this help you in Module 4?
I've learned to tailor the my focus to what can be answered with the data / resources / time available. Specifically for our purposes I focus the question on content strategy and what can be answered through likes, comments, shares, etc.

data analysis - what did you learn about data analysis from the Module 4 data analysis practice project? how will that help you in module 4?
I learned what kind of data we are looking for, and more importantly to make sure it's publicly visible (I picked an account with private likes/shares last time). I found that it's important to take data from a set period of time, and to be sure to log when the data was collected for reliability in the final project.
