For one whole day Lisa Swain got unalloyed love. A daughter she loves to her bones shining love and pride. A little family embracing her. A community celebrating her and her love for the woman who has become the center of her universe.

The trials and traumas will come. They always come in life. And they definitely come in Weatherfield life.

But Coronation Street chose to give Carla and Lisa a day of pure simple queer joy.

And at the end of the day we have a canonical queer family with a house on the most iconic street in British popular culture.
