On July 18, 1984, James Huberty shot up a McDonald’s restaurant in San Ysidro, California, primarily targeting mexicans

At 3:56 p.m., Huberty drove to the McDonald's half a block from his apt Armed with an UZI, 9mm pistol, 12ga shotgun, and plenty of ammo, he entered the crowded building and demanded everyone get on the ground. Then he started blasting both bullets and music playing loudly from a speaker he had brought with him. He was thorough, multi-tapping and dead checking his targets as he moved through the building. At 5:17 p.m., a SWAT sniper fatally shot him

Huberty made a good living for himself and his family as a welder. After his employer was shut down, he moved around before settling in San Ysidro. He was noticeably disturbed that he and his family were the only Whites in the area. Before the shooting, Huberty took his family to the San Diego Zoo. He told his wife that his life was effectively over, saying "Well, society had their chance." When they got home, he kissed his wife and kids goodbye, telling them "I'm going hunting... hunting for humans."
