Simple Lessons
Last Thursday, after class, I went to SM to have my cellphone fixed because its battery swelled up. I really did not want to just throw it away, so I chose to repair it instead. After that, my girlfriend and I ate out before going home. That day made me realize how important money is and that I must always take good care of my things to avoid unnecessary expenses.
In the following days, I started tutoring a little girl as part of our case study. I observed how she learned and helped her practice reading words. Seeing her smile and eagerness to learn made me happy and proud. The next day, I spent time bonding with my partner. We laughed and enjoyed each otherâs company, forgetting our school stress for a while.
These experiences taught me small but meaningful lessons, to value what I have, to be responsible, and that spending time with loved ones is one of the best parts of life.
