I survived. No more exams this year. 60 credits in less than 3 months. Never again will I attempt something like this. I feel absolutely drained, yet relieved that it’s finally over.
I read 2 great books for a couple of assignments and went through a bunch of textbooks, but I wanna go back to reading for fun. This summer I’m prioritizing Spanish and French. I’ll start with 100 years of solitude by Gabriel García Márquez cause I’ve been waiting all year to read it. I also compiled a list of movies and tv series in these 2 languages, mostly because I don’t plan to leave my house much with all this heat and I need all that language immersion.
I also need therapy and that’s going to look like cleaning and organizing my entire home. Plus lots of playtime with my little ball of love. He’s 7 months old already and slowly starting to crawl. He loves eating zucchini, eggplant, broccoli, and pumpkin. If he could eat only these four veggies, he’d be happy. He only accepts fruit in frozen form. He somehow repeats “äiti” a lot when interacting with me and my brain registers that as him calling me mom in Finnish, which is adorable. Maybe he’s gonna be a polyglot like his mamá.
