Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but Spitsyn is literally the best character in this series. Yes, his character is not the most pleasant, but in fact he is the only one of the Spitsyn/Averin, who is faithful to his wife (at least for now), and generally a good husband and father. He does not deny his wife and daughter anything, obeys, spoils, does not show violence, does not even raise his voice, although he can be strict. So I'm watching him with interest.

I like Spitsyn so much! He is a great husband (cold, but good). And Auntie 🥰 and Nifontov 🥰🥹

We're slowly forming a fan club of these three on Tumblr, yay! What a big win having at least a few people here who enjoy watching this series. Doesn't matter if you guys probably understand russian well or it's also your native language. This series does bring some kind of unity vibe between the fans, and it doesn't even matter where they come from! 😂❤

Started watching The Story of His Maid (my first russian drama btw and thank you @dangermousie for link to eps with eng translation) because I couldn't resist the posts about it on my dash. And right away, I like the FL. She is a firecracker of a person. The show is silly fun and is well aware of it and because of that the humour is delightful. I am cracking up at how the FL went to meet the ML so she could try to convince him to return her family's mansion, to which he of course says "no" right away because he's the ML, and all politeness and flattery leaves the FL's body immediately lmaooo She switches from "you're so noble" to "you cruel bastard" in just seconds and then smacks him across the face. Her reaction to his initial denial isn't "hmm i'm going to try and reason with him more and keep my calm" but "oh it's war bitch"😂 Also, FL's brother asking their mother "mom, are we poor?" had me cacklingg like that one line said a lot about his spoiled sheltered naive character. Such a fun unserious delightful show so far.
