"Green, really, what do you think you're doing here? I mean, you know youre going to give in to what I'm telling you anyways. So why not skip the back and forth where you tell me that I need to get more involved and do it myself and just do as I say?" Ellie smirked at the man standing frustratedly in front of her. She had been harder on him recently. Admittedly so. A bit meaner, sure. He deserved it though.

That was what she'd told herself anyways. It was certainly not the fact that Ellie, in her time in the solitude of being an official boss to her friends, began growing lonely. And began missing her friends. And this was the only concrete way she could remember to get their attention. Certainly not.

"Director, forgive me but I just think-"

"What you think, Owen, isn't relevant here."

"Director, I just-"

"Owen, please."

"Ellie you have to-" Owen paused for a moment as he observed Ellie's body language. She had a smirk across her face. Not her usual one, though. A specific smirk. One that he recognized. And she interrupted him at intervals that were specific. She let him get partially through what he was saying, which frustrated him more. But his biggest tip off was her face as he raised his hands in emphasis. Her smirk faltered for just a moment and became... A smile. A real smile. For just a moment, but he caught it anyways.

"Yes, Owen? I have to what?"

"Ellie are you..." He took another moment to look at her. "Ellie do you want something?"

"Excuse me?"
