Recently Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion. This past week he settled for a $2 billion fund that he will manage for his cronies and the promise that the IRS would never again investigate him, his family, and his businesses.

Actually, end-of-life care is one of the ways we've VOTED TO LET THE RICH IMPOVERISH THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE POOR.

I mean, c'mon. We COULD have TAXED THE RICH to pay for decent Social Security payments and Medicaid that will fund more than minimal staffing in nursing homes. We could have TAXED THE RICH to pay for assisted living, instead of expecting seniors and families to pay $4000 AND UP for assisted living facilities.

But Americans think that's "communism" and "stealing MY tax dollars to give free stuff to illegals and to lazy people who do not want to work."

We believe that "everyone on assistance is committing fraud anyway." And that "nobody on assistance really needs it. They should just get a job."

And that rich people are Better than we are and therefore should be heaped with luxuries, tax breaks, and rewards, and extremely wealthy people are entitled to more and more and still more.

So what we do instead is have the senior sell their house (either to private equity--THE RICH--or to people who have to borrow from a bank or from private equity--THE RICH) in order to pay exorbitant fees to live in a shitty facility owned by private equity (THE RICH.)

Meanwhile, the senior has nothing to leave their children and grandchildren (THE RICH just took it all), and the children and grandchildren do not have a leg up in life and have to battle the fees charged by private equity and banks if they ever hope to have a roof over their heads at all.

This is how families fall further and further toward poverty. EVERYTHING THAT FAMILY WORKED FOR GETS TRANSFERRED TO THE RICH.

Because we've been trained and trained and taught and taught since the 80s that NOT TAXING RICH PEOPLE WILL EVENTUALLY MAKE EVERYONE RICH.
