By maximizing Latinas’ access to explore and understand their own experiences, training programs can better prepare Latinas for engaging in scholarship, clinical practice, and consultation in ways that truly consider and combat systemic oppression.

Many academically unprepared Latina/o high school graduates enroll in U.S. community colleges as the first critical point of access. However, Latina/o student retention remains a serious matter, as reflected by 7% baccalaureate degree attainment after six years.
