Listening to the short responses Liv had Cayson sighed a little but then something clicked- why does everything have to be awkward? They are friends- hell she's his best friend here and they don't have to be awkward why can't they just crack jokes and be the way they were before all of this happened? Looking up at her he pulled her small body into a hug and kissed the top of her head, "Let's look at the bright side...Loki has yet to take over the world.." he whispered to her, as he looked behind her into her room and spotted the small black dog laying on the bed. "I mean that has to be a good sign." he joked as he let her go, smiling down at her he put his hands back into his pockets as he leaned against the door frame. "I'm not going to just let you go and not at least be your friend..you mean too much to me." he stated, "So I'm here to make you feel better, what do you want to do?" he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.

Tapping his foot and thinking about the possible ways to escape from the awkwardness he was sure to cause by knocking on her door he tried to get his feet to move but he was too scared to even take a step. When the door opened every thought of anything he might possibly say or do left him and all he could manage to do was look at her. Taking a deep breath he looked down and bit his lip and then looked back at her, "U-um, hey.." he spoke slowly as he tried to find the right words even though he knew there was nothing he could really say to make things better. "I just...I thought I'd come check on you." he shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck again. "I-I  mean last time I checked you were my friend and that's what friends do right? I mean um, unless you don't want to be friends anymore...then I guess this is just stupid huh..? Well I mean, I understand if you don't want to be friends I just I don't know I felt bad after everything that's happened and I felt like saying sorry to you and making sure you were okay. That you were doing well you know? I mean like making sure you're eating and showering and I don't know being a normal human being and that you were okay because you're my friend and I lo- like you a lot and sorry I'm rambling I'll just go, I'm sorry. I- I just wanted to see if you were okay.." he rambled on and on looking at his feet the whole time he spoke trying to keep his eyes off her.
