THERE’S A FIC FURTHER ON BUT PLEASE READ THE PARAGRAPH AFTER THIS
So as some of you might know, @shevoj1207 and I have been working on a KLance/Voltron zine (NOTE: NOT a Keith x Lance x Lotor thing) entitled Supernova. My talented daughter birb has been drawing the pages diligently and they’ve been beautiful so far! *wipes tear* As for me, I’m responsible for making my daughter’s wishes come true story-wise the story and script. It’s my first time collaborating with an artist so I’m very excited. And nervous. I’ll blah-blah about this in another post.
Anyway, pre-orders are going to be open on FEBRUARY 14th! More details on that here.
If you’re curious about what the story in the zine’s going to be about, give this fic a read to find out!

Supernova: Enemy Encounter
Prince Lotor favored Galra hybrids. Women in particular. That was no secret. In fact, it was one of the major reasons why some Galra officers hated him. At the same time, however, this was the same reason why Prince Lotor found favor in other factions that benefited from his unorthodox policies of equal treatment to minorities and letting inhabitants of conquered planets rule themselves.
Keith was a Galra hybrid. He was not a woman but that didn’t stop the prince from formally requesting that he be transferred to one of his units. If Keith’s adoptive father Thace had qualms about that, he kept most of them to himself.
Why Keith? He didn’t know. Perhaps it was because Keith’s mother, a woman, was Galra? Or maybe it was because Keith’s human half barely showed in his features? His eyes were yellow. His skin was purple. Oh, and he had a tail. He also had claws and fangs that protrude when necessary.
Keith really wasn’t sure what Lotor saw in him. And that made the young Galra wary of the Prince and his intentions. At the same time, however, he was thankful. After all, it was thanks to Prince Lotor that Keith was allowed to undergo high levels of strict and rigorous training. It was painful and grueling, yes, but absolutely beneficial and very much welcome. Only a fool would waste such an opportunity. That was why Keith made it a point to give it his all on each and every training session. Whether it was for combat, piloting, espionage, reconnaissance, or learning the history of the Galra empire, there was no room for slacking—always a hundred percent. A hundred percent of his focus. A hundred percent of his dedication. A hundred percent of his effort. Being a Galra soldier was heaps better than being a Galra orphan any day.
All of Keith’s efforts weren’t in vain. Prince Lotor was highly pleased with his progress. So impressed was the prince that he promoted Keith to be one of his generals. This was despite all of his current generals were women. Again, Keith wondered why but didn’t bother to ask. He was a soldier. It wasn’t his place to question his superiors let alone the son of Emperor Zarkon. And it wasn’t like Lotor’s team had any problem with him being part of the team anyway. If anything, Acxa and the others treated him like a baby brother, which was annoying. It reminded him of his mother and the idea of a family, something he wasn’t really fond of pondering on. He’d rather think about more important things like their current mission.
Right now, they were headed to conduct an inspection of the Galra space port on planet Autrillia. The planet had a special crystallized mineral that was unique to its terrain. Based on the Galra’s current research, the mineral could be used as part of a new weapon. The specifics, however, were classified. Even Prince Lotor was only given a general briefing without much detail. No matter, though. It was a simple task of sneaking around to download the data when they got there. Besides, the mineral wasn’t the Prince’s main objective. It was Team Voltron.
The reformed “Legendary Defenders” were heading to Autrillia to retrieve the Red Lion. According to the leaked information they got their hands on, the Red Lion was being transported by Commander Sendak’s fleet who was going to make a stopover for supplies at Autrillia. That was their chance to strike and take the Red Lion.
Or so Prince Lotor wanted them to think.
