as a poc fan it angers me to see the amount of people sweeping these screenshots under the rug regardless of the possibility that they could be real. and if all the points people are making aren’t enough to prove the evidence false, then she shouldn’t she say something about it herself?

i think the people that are calling others parasocial for calling this out and expecting an explanation/apology, or at least something that reaffirms that she’s ashamed of her past actions and condemns them, are actually the parasocial ones for literally being biased and excusing everything that’s been said in those screenshots even though we don’t even know if they’re fake or not. what happened to guilty til proven innocent or stepping back for a bit? whether it’s real or not, she needs address this despite the fact that she said these things 8 years ago. i don’t think people understand the weight horrible words can hold, even after many years. saying that it’s her personal life to excuse her (alleged) racist posts is also another ridiculous point. her “personal life” that people talk about consists of racism (if it’s true) that harmed others. and if you still think that saying shit that hurts other people is her personal life, then there’s something deeply wrong with the way you define what a personal life is. i do not see anything private about being open about being racist and i do not see why such abhorrent behavior towards other people has anything to do with having a personal life and it sure doesn’t deserve any form of privacy either

i also find it ironic that people try bringing up another point that she doesn’t owe us an explanation or anything when Hayden literally posted on her story awhile ago that was calling out the “i don’t owe you anything” crowd that says,

“ “i don’t owe anyone anything, i don’t have to do anything for other people, what have they done for me, etc”

no, you don’t. you don’t owe no one anything. but it’s what you do in spite of the fact that determines your character.”

also this point that she doesn’t owe us anything sounds extremely privileged to me. it sounds like “if this doesn’t affect me, it’s none of our business”
