LEGO Lord Archduke Slorch the Vile (and his Heavenly, but certainly not angelic Husband)
Yeah, I'm still struggling with the fandom fallout after GO3 and haven't exactly felt like sharing all my new GO3 LEGO babies in the aftermath, but *gritting my teeth* these babies deserve some love and I hope that there are enough fans left here who will appreciate them *looking around warily*?
If you do, please give them some love. If you don't, just ignore this post and please don't hurt my babies' feelings with any spiteful comments. Seriously, they're trying so hard to bring some joy to this fandom, please don't tread on them. *glares glarefully at anyone even thinking about hurting my babies* Thank you very much!
That being said *putting down the teeny-tiny LEGO shovel*, please enjoy our Ineffable Spouses, sharing an intimate moment (yeah, we wish, I know)!
I bet that Crowley in this wonderful Aziraphale-gifted version of his dream wife Heaven outift must have helped their husband to get dressed up down for his important business trip to Hell, right? Also, still wondering if there was some tartan hidden somewhere... tartan pants maybe? 😉
For additional pictures and some ramblings about the creation of those two idiots, including credit for the "store-bought" parts...
Honestly, I love these ridiculous costumes to pieces! It's not stated explicitly, but still strongly implied that Aziraphale must have miracled up this exact color-inverted replica of Crowley's usual outfit, right down to all the little details, like the snake skin boots and the snake belt!
Seriously, Crowley's torso was relatively easy to design for me, because it is a copy of his usual outfit, so I dug up my old torso design file and edited the hell out of it (literally) before getting it printed on a Tan LEGO torso. The rounded bottom part of his jacket covering the hips was meticulously cut and folded out of painted paper. The colours actually match better than it looks in these pictures.
The boots were giving me the biggest challenge here! I could not just have them printed on some LEGO legs, because I wanted to use those longer custom legs by Leyilebrick, the only valid option for Crowley in those bloody tight jeans, imo. Ahem.
So, yeah, recreating snake skin boots in LEGO minifigure scale? Shoot me now! Well, the results are far from perfect, but I tried my best. It really would have helped to have hi-res screencaps, but I still haven't found any, so most of the creative process was squinting at blurry enlarged images, a huge dose of 'best guess' and a lot of swearing! Oh, also acrylic markers and masking tape, of course! 🤷
Crowley's hair used to be this custom hairpiece before I painted the hell out of it. Unfortunately it's not available anymore. I'd love to get my hands on more of those pieces for other versions of Crowley!
Credit for the head goes to Minifigs.me! I bought and "beheaded" their Prince of Darkness minifigure, because those round golden sunglasses looked like a great match! I might have taken a teeny-tiny bit of secret pleasure in this act of revenge on behalf of some mistreated bat(s). *looking around innocently* 🦇
Ah, Lord Archduke Slorch the Vile, my beloved! Seriously, this costume is so horrible I can't help but love it! How, and I mean how the fuck, could Aziraphale come off genuinely intimidating in this ridiculous Joker mock-up?! Thank you for your acting skills, Michael Sheen! 🤡
People who know me and my bloody annoying perfectionism had a good laugh at my struggle to not get anything about this one perfect. Let his face be smudged. Let his teeth be sharp, but don't try to fix them any further. Let those silver chains dangle crookedly. Let his half gloves look ragged. Use the most ugly colours for his hairpiece (taken from this minifig) and don't worry about a smooth finish. Let his coat and shoulder pads look torn. Let him look horrible and own it! A Master of the Secret Torments, indeed! *still apologizing to my inner Monk who died a million times in the process of making this minifigure*
Anyway, I'm really grateful I had at least one BTS picture to work with here. Slorch's clompy (why isn't that an official word?) boots are hilarious! Initially I used some off-brand legs with printed boots and added some 1x1 plates for the high soles, but it didn't look that great. In addition those legs were too loose for the LEGO hips with the silver belt, making the whole figure fall over again and again, so I ultimately ditched those and just stole a pair of Crowley's long legs (the husbands really don't mind sharing). Since all the printed details from the other legs were almost completely hidden by the coat anyway, this solution works for me.
"Credit" for the head and torso: I took this Joker head and this LEGO torso and ruined modified the shit out of them! No idea if the way I painted the face is suggestion enough of the big mismatched nose, but whatever. Fun fact: if you'd pull off Lord Slorch's coat, you might still find the HARES OF HAVOC print on the backside, which I found too funny to remove! 🐇
All the dangly bits around the hips, the coat itself with its shoulder pads, and the chains dangling form the collar are made of masking tape and painted with acrylic markers. The spiked collar around the neck used to be one of these boring LEGO neck collars before I repurposed it lovingly! 🔪
Hopefully I didn't forget anything important. Feel free to ask if I did.

Aziraphale and Crowley's last kiss explained (by a European) ✨❤️
I shall jump straight to the point: people online did NOT seem pleased with Aziraphale and Crowley's last kiss. However, unlike them, i believe this was a deeply meaningful, touching and romantic moment for us to see and i thought I'd give my two cents about it too.
For starters: this was an APOLOGY kiss. That's right people, not a simple "I love you" or "I like you back" kiss but a PROPER apology kiss. Aziraphale reaches for it first, it's the first thing that comes to his mind when he realizes this might actually just be the last time they ever get to see each other. He wants to start over, do it better, and in order to do that he needs Crowley's forgiveness for everything that has happened in the past few years for things to finally be RIGHT.
He also touches his lips the same way he did when he first got kissed by Crowley at the end of season 2, except this time he does it to "give it back". It simbolizes Crowley's feelings being reciprocated, a tender act of apology for not kissing him back the first time but finally doing it right this time. He no longer thinks of that touch to his lips with sorrow or hatred or confusion, but rather as an answer, as something beautiful, as the love he's always felt but could never find the courage to openly reciprocate until now.
As for a possible additional meaning, here in Europe a kiss given by the fingertips can symbolize many things. One of them is "farewell" (and given the context of this scene i might add this kiss was the perfect choice), it's a sign of respect and profound admiration, it's a tender act to say goodbye in a polite and innocent way: it's pure, just like them.
Additionally, in my country, a kiss by the fingertips is most commonly known as a religious act, a sign of devotion and adoration done to the feet of sacred statues and holy sculptures; it symbolizes complete submission to our deepest love for the holy and to surrender to the greatness of the saint we behold, to give them our complete and undoubted faith.
it's loyal, It's devoted and faithful, It's endlessly filled with love and respect, it's playful and innocent but also clever and bold: it represents Aziraphale PERFECTLY. ❤️
i believe we were very lucky to be able to see the different ways these two characters express their love for one another, we get to see how Crowley expresses his love through a kiss and we get to see how Aziraphale does it in his own way. They both come straight from the heart, both dripping with need and affection and love, but each in their own, unique ways.
Their kiss is THEM, it's a reflection of what they think of one another, how they see each other, and how they perceive their relationship. And i think it's the single most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a very, VERY long while.
The Symmetry of Season 3 and Why That Makes It Beautiful
Ok, more big thoughts here. I just watched for a second time, and what I see on this run through is a beautiful symmetry.
Taken together, all three seasons are a dance, a back and forth between their need for each other and their love for humanity. One of them is always leading, one is retreating, hands locked together in a solid frame that can look like love or like fighting, one that gives them each the room to move, their perspectives whirling, deepening and changing as the view around them morphs.
It’s in the little things. The constant back and forth of them not thanking each other for important things. The wing lifted to shield the other from rain in Eden. The rescue at the Bastille. The thermos of holy water. The rescue at the end of the great war. The paint gun residue on the jacket. The forgiveness in the last bookshop on earth.
And it’s there in the biggest things, too, in the entire frame of the show.
In season 2, Crowley is ready to choose their relationship over the fate of humanity, and Aziraphale painfully puts that aside to try to save humanity, because he couldn’t live with himself if he didn’t. They’re both devastated by this choice, but it’s essential. wasn’t tricked by some spiked latte. He had to do what he did, and he's correct in doing it.
In season 3, by the end, Aziraphale is ready to choose their relationship over everything else. “I only want one thing, Crowley,” he says, and it’s clear he means it. Aziraphale has struggled through all of the love and responsibility for humans, discharged his duty as best he could, and ended up here—loving Crowley and wanting only him, at peace knowing he’s done everything he needed to do, ready to live for his love.
“What do you want?” he asks Crowley, in their moment of privacy by the Tree of Life.
And the thing is – the thing is, Crowley still WANTS that. He still wants it, so badly that it’s etched in every line of his body. But the fact is that now he’s grown too—he’s grown past the place he was in at the end of s2, where he valued his own happiness above everyone else’s. He sees the cost that Aziraphale saw all along. And now Crowley is the one who can’t live with the aftereffects of getting what he wants.
It’s *not* just that Aziraphale had to let go of his toxic attachment to Heaven to be able to deserve and appreciate Crowley. It’s that, as with most of their arguments all along, they were *both* RIGHT. Which is why their conflicts existed to begin with. They both had to grow, to discharge their duty, to get around an obstacle preventing them from joining the other.
And so they stand at the end, before God and Satan, holding hands, looking into each other’s eyes. Say what you will, but Aziraphale’s impassioned speech about how Crowley was the best angel is one of the greatest love declarations I’ve ever seen. Crowley sees it as such, I’m convinced. Aziraphale, who he’s always believed holds himself as just a bit better than a demon, reveals that he sees Crowley’s core, his inherent goodness, not in a way that implies he was better before, but in a way that shows that Aziraphale understands that this is still EXACTLY WHO CROWLEY IS RIGHT NOW. He finally sees him exactly as he is, loves him, and shows him that. This brings Crowley the peace and closure he’s been looking for all along, too.
They’ve both arrived, in that moment, at peace. They know and have love. They are in perfect accord. It is the biggest and most nontraditional love the world has ever seen, and I think they know in that moment that not one second of it could have been changed.
I firmly believe, given the snowglobe in the garden at the end, that their love and their characters go on and on in multiple worlds and lifetimes, but honestly. Whether you needed a kiss or not, the symmetry of this ending is *breathtaking*.
I have to say, I’m loving it more each time I watch.
It’s not only the start of Aziraphale’s quote on his page shared earlier today by Good Omens Prime, but also the title of the final piece from the operetta “Trial by Jury” by Gilbert and Sullivan. One that ends with the Judge resolving the entire case by offering to marry the Plaintiff.
Of course, we already had a good inkling that some type of a courtroom drama might make an appearance in the Good Omens Finale due to the general influence of the classic Powell and Pressburger film, A Matter of Life and Death (1946), over the entire adaptation, from literal production posters to character design (Not-Crowley’s curls before the beginning, you will always be famous), to literal sets like the Good Omens Heaven. It also happens to be a favourite of a certain Michael Sheen:
“My favourite film of all time is A Matter of Life and Death, directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, starring David Niven. In the U.S. it was called Stairway to Heaven.”
“For me, it is beautifully shot. It is fantastically acted. It has a quality of strangeness that I always love in the best works of art. It is about two forms of reality, the real world that David Niven inhabits and this fantastical world of Heaven with angels and all that stuff. And you never get asked to choose which one is the real one or not.”
The Heavenly trial happens inside a nebula, with a counsel consisting of souls of those who had died in the British wars across centuries and a RAF pilot as the defendant who had accidentally cheated Death in order to stay longer on Earth and fall in love with the person he met over the radio during his fall from the sky. Just for context.
At the same time, the mention of the Second Coming invites another trial to the discourse, that is the Last Judgment — during which Jesus is supposed to use the Book of Life to separate the righteous from the wicked. If you haven’t yet, you should catch up with the speculation on Aziraphale’s roots and possible role in the upcoming Last Judgment in this meta on angelic names.

The famous deleted British Telekom Tower scene from Good Omens S1, only in LEGO and with more rats and other blanks filled in!
Unfortunately this gemstone of peak Crowley mischief never made it into the show, but I really, really wanted to recreate this scene in LEGO and fill in the missing details, e.g. lots of rats, a (fictional) worksheet to go on the blank clipboard and the sky in the background obviously. Please enjoy my take!
Crowley: "Beautiful job. Thank you all so much, men!"
Rat: *squeaks indignantly*
Crowley: "Oh yeah, obviously, ladies, too! Nice job!"
For more irrelevant BTS fun and a close-up picture of RATAWAY PEST CONTROL Crowley...
First off, let me add the original scene in question for reference...
As one of my moots (you know who you are, lol) put it so eloquently, Crowley definitely serves cunt here. 😉
Yup, definitely! Just look at him! While this scene never made it into the show, we got a great props picture:
So, I took that information to
a) invent a fictional worksheet for Crowley's blank clipboard and
b) waste a lot of time to recreate that ID card in LEGO even if I knew the details would totally get lost in print of that torso. 🤷
I really wanted to get this custom-made silver thermos, but it's been out of stock for ages, so I finally caved and made my own version out of a LEGO baby bottle (of all things) which turned out a lot less shiny, but whatever...
Also yes, I know that the glasses are wrong, but this is still the closest facial match I have. One day I will design the brown frames from that era, too. But that will be a task for future!me.
Anyway I had fun and used this photo shoot as a mental health therapy session. Hopefully I could give you a smile, too! 🥰🥰🥰

happy trans day of visibility to all the trans folks out there. to the dolls. to the trans people of colour. to the fat trans people. to the hairy trans people. to the trans mascs who present feminine and the fems who present masculine. to the trans people opressed by the binary present even within queer culture. to the trans people who feel dysphoria, and those who don’t. to the ones who aren’t out for their own safety. to the ones who aren’t out to themselves. to the trans people in warzones and facing genocide. to the trans people whose basic rights and humanity is constantly up for debate. to the ones that are still alive despite it all. happy trans day of visibility to you
A fan reached out to me and explained that they’re in Minnesota, part of a parent group that has been escorting children to and from school, protecting them from ICE, who have been parked outside of the local schools like fucking vultures.
They said they’re all scared and tired. The amount of anxiety is through the roof and asked for fan art of Aziraphale and Crowley protecting the kids to help boost morale.
So I did. It’s the very least I can do right now. To all the #goodomens fans across America fighting the good fight, thank you! You are the REAL patriots.
Call your reps. Donate. March. But most importantly, keep showing up whether it’s art, music, baking, writing, coffee with friends, reading books to kindergartners.
Even if Aziraphale and Crowley didn't get their happy ending on screen (but I know they will), they are already my favourite couple and my favourite representation of love in media.
TL;DR:
Aziraphale 'leaving' Crowley wasn’t rejection, it was the hardest, most selfless act of love he could do. Their separation isn’t about each other, it’s about the universe making their love impossible as it is at the moment.
I don’t buy the idea that they 'have much to learn' (which seems to usually mean Aziraphale has to learn), or that their problem is mainly poor communication.
I think they are doing all they possibly can already. They always have. The enemy to their happiness was always their circumstances. Not something in each other.
Now, I want to point a parallel with a film that I think if you have watched, you won't forget:
Yes, Aziraphale and Cooper are my parallels.
When I first saw Interstellar I did wonder why the filmmakers decided to focus on a father-daughter relationship.
And I’ve only recently realised that I think they made a safer choice.
Because making a romantic relationship the emotional core of a story where one half leaves to save the world would not, I think, be seen as justified by many.
In Interstellar Murph's mum is conveniently dead (sorry to be blunt, I do understand they wanted to make a point about the dying planet too). And he leaves his kids to try and create a better world and future for them. And we forgive him and we know Murph will too and she does.
But would we forgive him as easily if he left his beautiful, desperate lover behind?
Because culturally, we accept sacrifice for children as self-evidently noble, but we are far less willing to grant that same grace to romantic love if someone leaves, whatever their reasons.
Leaving not as rejection.
Leaving as sacrifice.
What if, as many fans assume will happen to Aziraphale, Cooper's mission failed immediately or at some point, because the mission proved impossible? What if Cooper never succeeded? Would his sacrifice have been seen as brave or as a failure and foolish from the start?
Cooper and Murph work together across time and space and save the world and meet again only briefly, at the end of her life.
I know Good Omens won't have an ending like this, but even if it did, it would still be my favourite love story.
But I do want Aziraphale and Crowley together forever, I do want them to be safe and I want them to have time to be happy and to heal.
And I hope they will get that in abundance.
Going to Heaven is Not the Same as Choosing Heaven
Final 15 was emotionally devastating yes, but also disproportionately cruel to Aziraphale, regardless of what S3 brings. Even if Aziraphale is shown as undeniably right in his step into that lift. I think that a lot of how he is portrayed by the fandom at the moment will stay ingrained and his motivation will forever be questioned.
If Aziraphale is shown as having been naïve and will seek to escape Heaven once he acknowledges his 'error' and beg Crowley to take him 'back', well then - it won't be story I will stand behind any longer.
My point is - the ending of S2 could have been as emotional as it was without putting so much needless blame on Aziraphale for their separation. But that's perhaps a part of another argument.
As I've said many times, I think Aziraphale left because he was worried for his safety and especially Crowley's safety. And then the safety of the whole world. Yes, he didn't know Second Coming was in immediate plans for sure until Metatron told him this in front of the lift, but he's clever enough to have considered the option already.
He knew Gabriel wasn't running away because of some trifle.
The sides never mattered to Aziraphale. Survival did.
And running away never meant survival. Aziraphale never believed Heaven was 'right.' He knew Heaven is dangerous because it holds all the power.
Aziraphale’s caution was not obedience - it was survival. What Aziraphale opted for in F15 was leverage, not validation.
Aziraphale is not saying:
'Heaven will listen to me.'
He is saying:
'If no one tries, there is no future at all.'
This was the same logic that drove Aziraphale in Season 1 at the bandstand:
He didn't want to kill Adam
He didn't want to run
He wanted to delay destruction long enough to find another way
Crowley wanted to leave because he wanted to protect Aziraphale from Heaven and himself from Hell.
Aziraphale wanted to stay because he wanted to protect everything from Heaven.
Both were acts of love. Just like in F15.
They’re just aimed at different things.
But the fact that Aziraphale's love of everything always includes Crowley does not mean he loves Crowley less than Crowley loves him.
Aziraphale’s way to deal with Heaven has always been delay, interference, or sabotage (weaponised pedantry). Maybe it's not as romantic as running away or as dramatic as falling, but it worked before and will again. He knows that not trying would be worse.
And I don't want either of them to be proven wrong. They both had their reasons (love) for their decision in F15.
If Heaven is going to be stopped, it will (apparently) take:
Crowley outside the system
Aziraphale inside it
And the thing Heaven never counted on:
LOVE
