Hux let out a sigh he didnât realize heâd been holding in. folding the spare posters, he slipped them back into his satchel. while she might not be there, itâs the best lead heâs got. leaving the most expensive cat food he can buy on the back is just attracting more strays and the neighborhood cats, none of them millie. âthatâs - great, really. just tell me or, show me and if she is, iâll give you the money,â nearly $5,000 cash, for a cat.
It was rare to see cat lovers in the neighborhood. Everyone was so predictable and peppy with their dogs, trailing after them in the streets with leashes. Isis always followed Selina when she knew that was what the woman wanted. A better friend than most, really. âIâll show you the way.â Money? Her lucky day. And only for helping a cat find their way back home. Selina started walking the same direction she had been heading just a few moments ago. "Millie?â She recited from the name sheâs glanced over from the flayer.Â

Not a living soul could find out about one of the secrets of her past. It wasnât the biggest, but it would surely ruin her in this miserable town. Henry was a liability, and if she had to weed him out, then she would do it. Selina was doing him a favor. He didnât know she was the woman he was looking for, the one he actually wanted, at least she thought he still didnât. The thrill was part of her high, teasing him with little bits of information that might lead him to think it was her but then dismissing it with other behavior. Either way, the persona for this task was of one of a good-natured woman. She had to play the part right, if not it was all going to go to shit. âHenry, I need to get something off my chest.â The young woman spoke softly, the sweet voice of someone she had used exactly from the source of the secret. How ironic.
As soon as Lance spotted the other, he knew she would be the one he would use for this dumb task. Well, he wasnât comfortable with saying use, but thatâs exactly what he was doing. No doubt she was attractive and he would have normally wanted to have sex with her, but this was different. Regardless, he had to push the thoughts out of his mind as he stepped up to her with an easy smile. âItâs you again. You know, last time, I feel like we missed out on something nice. Care to see if itâs just as nice as Iâve imagined it to be,â he suggested slyly.
Blackmail was part of her strategy. It was Selinaâs move, and now she felt the urge to claw the eyes out of whoever knew her secret. There was a. reason she had kept it so well hidden, so it shocked her to find out someone in this dull town knew of it. Her task wasnât a big deal, at least thatâs what Selina kept telling herself. Henry didnât mean anything to her. Yes, keep repeating that. Her worries were surely gone just by looking at the handsome man she had met what seemed like ages ago. Selina played along, âIâm intrigued to find outâ the perfect distraction, how convenient.Â
Bundled in scarves and fleece-lined jackets, Hux stands in the cold with a pile of papers and a stapler. There are a few posters up on trees and lamp posts : big black letters âMISSING!â with a picture of an old ginger cat underneath. Contact details and a reward with at least three 0âs attatched to the end of it. Trembling hands are putting up another poster when someone walks past. âHey,â The redhead calls in a manner that isnât usually him. âHey, could you uh - take one? I donât suppose youâve seen my cat? Sheâs been missing for a week, and Iâm gettingâŚworried,â
The coat was suddenly not doing it for Selina. In an unfashionable way, Selina crossed her arms to warm herself up. Just a few more blocks and sheâd be home to her cats. Each step sounded even more familiar with the clicking sound, but she stopped dead in her tracks when she heard a voice calling out. âCat?â She arched a brow, hesitantly taking the paper and eyeing the picture of the cat beofre she thought of Isis and the others who roamed around her apartment at night. âI know where she might be.â The alleyway next to her place was cat central, and most of them liked to climb up the fire stairs to reach for the food she leaves out for them on her window.

At first the former psychiatrist thought that she had been hallucinating the whole thing. It didnât take her long to figure out that it wasnât a illusion at all. She had pranced down the sidewalk with her signature bat in hand. As soon as passed by the familiar face she didnât hesitate to prance right over to them. â Kitty! Youâre here too? â she gasped out in surprise.Â
The leather jacket was the only thing keeping her sane. When did she grow out her hair and dyed it back to blonde? It had been a while since this last apapearance. Selina stopped midtrack when she saw the familiar woman. Of course, no matter where sheâd be able to recognize Harley anywhere. âYou say that as if you donât know where you are either.â Was everyone as clueless or was it just the two of them.Â
This was definitely not how Henry had envisioned their first date going, but at least he could say that it was eventful. It wasnât as if the weather was something either of them could control anyway. By the time he reached her door, he was already sporting a light dust of snow covering his black peacoat, a shiver running through his body as he bounced from foot to foot in an effort to get his blood pumping and keep him warm. As much as he wondered what Selinaâs apartment looked like in the back of his head, he hadnât expected to find out. But, he was more than grateful for the sneak peek. After his years working as a detective, he knew that someoneâs home was a direct reflection of the deepest parts of an individual. A thankful smile formed on his lips as he entered Selinaâs apartment, a bit relieved they wouldnât be going out in this kind of weather. âOh, Iâm sure⌠Iâm sorry this is the way things have turned out. Not exactly promising, is it?â He teased. He shrugged off his jacket and placed it on the same coat rack that she had. He couldnât help but look around, taking everything in. âIâd love some coffee, or perhaps some wine? We might need a little alcohol to deal with this all.â Another joke meant to lighten things up. âYou have a really nice place.â
Snow had never been a problem for the young woman as a thief. No matter the weather, there was always someone out and about with something of value. This, however, was her past, her childhood. Nowadays she kept her thieving much more subtle to more shiny objects and less dull papers. The apartment wasnât luxurious, it had brick walls, little furniture (though some called it minimalistic), and organized. If anyone ever broke in, theyâd find nothing on her. âI think that all depends on how we spend our time.â The comment was meant to tease, hinting a personality trait she was boldly proud of from their first meeting. Selina frowned, thinking if she had any alcohol at all in the apartment. âIâm sure I must have some wine, somewhere.â It just so happened that the apartment had little to no alcohol, with all she does during the night, she never lets herself act anything but sharp. But for the sake of this date, sure, she must have something stashed away somewhere. The kitchen wasnât far from the living room if anything it could be seen from the doorway. It didnât take long for Selina to find the bottle, everything was so neatly organized that the only logical place to keep it was where she never bothered to look at daily. âSeems like I do have some wine,â She sighed, acting relieved when really she should have seen the idea of not having any alcohol at her place be slightly suspicious. âThank you,â Selina said softly, walking back towards Henry, opened bottle in one hand and wine glasses in the other. She placed them on the coffee table in front of the black sofa with scratches at the edges. She considered her place quite crappy, but it was better than most places she had once called home. She poured the exact amount on both glasses. Everything had to be precise and handed Henry a glass before grabbing her own. Just keep calm, Selina. It was time to make a new plan.
Selina had gone on a spiral. It was unlike her but after going out around town and feeling completely out of place she needed to do some recon. Her supposed closet in the apartment she woke up in was filled with shredded clothes, mostly black as she sew together a suit. It wasnât the Catwoman suit she was used to, one that was perfectly made for her body but it did the trick on the suburban town. It was night time and Selina moved around the shadows, perfectly climbing over buildings and looking over the aimless town.

Selina was confused, and it wasnât often that sheâd be wondering the streets without a plan in mind. The woman was no longer in the dirty streets of Gotham, a place she knew like the palm of her hand. She wore the civilian clohtes sheâd found in the closet of her apartment. Appearantly she had a home now, but her style remained the same. She had on a leather jacket to feel even a little like herself as she memorized every alley, street corner and roof entrances.

hey guys so for canon week Iâm not going to make any general starters cause there are already so many. Please like for a starter and I choose with who or reply with who you want.
Selina Kyle/Catwoman (DC comics)
Persephone (Greek Mythology)
Velma Kelly (Chicago: The Musical)
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug (Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir)
okay but who would fight over the thrown bouquet from natasha?
I feel like maybe Heather Chandler, Tammi, and Ann would fight over it but in the end, Selina would catch it and run off into the sunset with Henry. Or maybe thatâs just my wishful thinking.
When Selina had finally decided to call Henry out for a date, she didnât expect it to end with a blizzard. Pretending to be normal and going out on a date with someone was bizarre enough for Selina but as she had planned to go to the art gallery with Henry, the snow was just falling at a slow pace. It didnât occur to her that when she would be getting picked up by the gentleman, that the snow would suddenly fall heavily, piling up right in front of them. So, Selina doing something she didnât want to do, invited Henry inside her apartment. No one had seen her place before, not a breathing soul beside her and her cats (even those that werenât hers). Isis, her black cat looked at her with caution, as if she knew there was something not right. âIâm so sorry, I didnât expect the snow to get like that.â She closed the door behind Henry, the heat on her apartment slowly spreading. âIâm sure once it clears out weâll be able to go out.â She took a deep breath, she couldnât be nervous now, she gave Henry a smile and asked. âDo you want some coffee? Or some sort of drink?â She took off her coat and hung in on the coat hanger near the door. Her heels making the comforting noise against the floor as she walked towards the living room.
All of my characters letters will be in this post.Â
                     Selina, Cora, Velma, Sabrina.
Selina Kyle
Mrs. Claus, I write to you because when my first few foster homes made us write letters to Santa, nothing ever came. Nothing. Not even the emotional reassurance that everything would be okay. That Iâd be back again with my sister Maggie, and that I wouldnât be kicked out of that foster family. I hope you at least get shit done. Anyhow, Iâm letting go old grudges for the sake of it being your first time knowing f me. I want, what any girl wants: diamonds. Jewelry, real of course, and that would be all. Iâll also accept luxurious clothes and gift cards to those places. I was also wondering if you could check in with Maggie? Maybe make sure she is. getting enough to eat, anything she wants too. Even if that takes my gift away. Iâll gladly let that go for her. Sheâd want me to ask for the charity fund to overflow with money for the endangered cats, so maybe that too.Â
Itâs a lot. But I expect my wishes to be respected,                           Â
Selina.
Cora Spring
Saint Nicholas,
I donât think too much about you. My mother never asked for a letter when I was young so itâs new to me to write such things. However, I was advised that this would be a. fun activity to pass the time and.. in this little flower shop, Iâd like time to go faster. I donât really know what I want for a gift, my mother is usually grumpy (more than usual) during this season, she says itâs too cold for anything to grow. I, however, love this weather. I like spending time alone and in the dark, walking around the cold frosty snow, if I could do it barefoot, I would. Everything dies for a reason, and I know it will bloom again in the Spring. So I donât worry too much about Winter. I guess that sums up what I desire, doesnât it? Mother shouldnât be too hard on herself because her crops wonât grow, she should enjoy having me around. Because the Gods know I wonât want to be stuck in her house for too long. Another, and last request would be to give me a free pass to do anything, maybe take my mother away for a while? Thatâd be lovely.
Red lipstick and flowers are always welcomed,
Cora.
Velma Kelly
Mrs. Claus,
Oh dear, I seem to be writing my third letter. I just seem to be finding more and more things to ask for that I couldnât possibly be expected to just send two. i found this gorgeous necklace at a local boutique, also matching earrings. The owner was a cutie too so sheâd do just fine as well. As always, Iâm reminding you to make me the star of the New Years event, I have worked hard for it and I wouldnât want to ruin your event if you were to not grant me mine. I havenât been the nicest, but Iâm sure you donât mind that. After all, we girls canât be expected to be nice only, that isnât possible in our world. Less when I could be a leader in my group and only be mocked by the male dancers. They were always too jealous of my spotlight. I wish to be respected by these low lifes in Sparkwood, they were never able to recognize talent if it slapped them.
Maybe Henry had been too confident from the start, too cocky â and thatâs what tripped him up in this little ridiculous fruitless search of his. He tried his best to mask his disappointment, putting on another facade, one that was never hurt â one that didnât care and was easy-going, but that was far from the truth. He offered the other a small smile before allowing a chuckle of amusement to fall from his lips, âWell, thereâs a first time for everything, isnât there?â He had been embarrassed few times in his life, but this one of them. Especially now knowing that his judgment and reasoning had failed him, something that never occurred before. Though he was quick to perk up at the otherâs suggestion, a brow arching slightly. âYouâd really like to go out with me some time even though Iâve clearly made a rather ridiculous first impression? How can I refuse? Iâd love to.â Even though his mystery woman would be lurking in the back of his mind, perhaps this was something he just wasnât meant to find. She had said that no one had ever been able to track her down before, maybe it was time to accept that fact.
It was a hobby of hers to see mean fall down from their high horse. They were too high and mighty, too cocky, that someone, Selina, had to snap them into reality. This time, Henry was right, she was the mystery girl, but she wouldnât let him have his taste of success. Not until it tasted more bitter than sweet. âOf course, the ice is already broken.â She shrugged, it hadnât occurred to Selina on what she would do next. Sheâd improvise long enough, until letting something slip that would change the entire game, thus making it interesting again but for now, she was sweet, nervous Selina. And maybe, she wanted Henry to see that, she couldâve chosen any persona. The failed socialite, the innocent, oblivious one, the broken, the activist, but no. Just what was she actually getting herself in? âRight, uh,â Selina doesnât stammer. âHow about you give me your number, and Iâll call you.â Not the right thing to say, a bit too forward to have him feel like he is getting picked up. Something she would typically say, but not enough of a tell to get uncovered for. She pulled out her phone, touched the center button and into the phone app to hand it over and watch him dial. Only enough to keep it interesting.

When Nick wasnât trying to get over on people usually he spent his spare time trying get himself a date. That was the whole reason he had even decided to attend the ball in the first place. As he brushed passed the crowd his eyes instantly landed on the women across the way. Nick couldnât help but approach her as soon as he saw her. â Well arenât you a sight for sore eyes. â he commented with a grin.Â
Selina quickly spotted a young, beautiful brunette with heavy earrings. Too heavy, in fact, that she would need someone with skilled hands to lift the weight of her shoulders. It wasnât long before someone tried to talk to her, and who could blame them? Selina was a sight for sore eyes, however she had her eyes already set on a beautiful pair of... earrings. So when she was spoken to, Selina didnât even flinch away from her target. âThank you.â She smiled almost involuntarily, as if she was in an office event that never seemed to fail on someone trying to make an innapropiate move on her.Â
The moment Elliot felt Selinaâs hand touch his face, his cheeks were set ablaze considering he wasnât exactly accustomed to such a tender display of affection. The kiss just pushed him further and sealed his fate, gradually accepting the fact that he would be soon spending the day running around doing anything she asked of him â anything was worth doing if it meant the chance of getting another kiss from her. âOf course I would! I mean, it seems like itâs only fair⌠you deserve to spend the day pampering yourself. So, what can I do for you? I can do anything you need me too and Iâll make sure any job gets done promptly and successfully.â  Â
Hmm momentarily distracted, Selina had to glance around the room to make a nice clean list of all the things the boy could do for her. âYouâre a sweetheart,â She touched his shoulder, they were already close enough for him to listen loud and clear to her instructions. As she traced different shapes on his arm, she listed in a sing-song tone. âI need statistical reports on the internet development in China, schedule three meetings around this agenda,â She let go of his arm and into her bag to let out a brown well taken care of agenda, took a sip of her coffee and handed it to the boy. âFor next week. And arrange a conference call in three days with Kazakhstan, number is in there, and finally,â She noticed how she had stopped looking into his eyes, too preoccupied with all the tasks she had cluttering her mind. Selina, as her last part of the plan, gazed into his eyes and gave the boy a charming smile. âOnly because I know you will beg me to go for it, is book me an appointment with the townâs spa.â
