読み会の準備しています。光が死んだ夏（第一話）を読んでいて、ちょっとビックリしてしまいました！私の生徒、ラーさんがお勧めしたんだけど、マジでホラー漫画ですよね。全然読んだことがないし、まだ何も知りません。クラスにラーさんと第一印象をシェアします！

Playing Uno in Japanese with my tutoring students taught me two things:

First, I'm terrible at Uno Second, it's the fastest way to teach colors and numbers LOL

We will absolutely play it again! I lost both rounds ahaha Unfortunately I kept yelling in Japanese and they couldn't understand me ahahaha!

Across my groups, they have also have been enjoying Frozen in Japanese (they write words they recognize and share at the end). Cinderella was a favorite too, but I found Frozen was really good listening practice for them.

Next up, I'll be loading up Judgement on my steam deck and have my students (all 18+) try to read and translate all the hiragana and katakana they can understand! They're huge Sega fans, so I think they'll have a blast! \

Made this abomination for my tutoring students to find in my store bathroom. I was cackling the whole I time printed it out and framed it (photo paper, no less!)

My Tuesday class will especially love this. I'm trying not to spoil the surprise, so I'm posting here 😂😂😂

Incentivizing myself to study with milk tea. Strong enough to get me through my vocab drills! Learning around 20 new words a day now!

My main focus remains filling vocab holes in Japanese (my grammar is pretty good)! Breaking down the kun and on readings is helping so much more now that I'm out of college ahaha

Today's Korean focus is on pronunciation notes, basic vocab, and sentence building! 😇 I still forget some of the "w sounds", but I am doing well reading slowly! 🐌 Just taking time to make sure my pronunciation keeps up!

I find Korean to be easier than Japanese, but it's definitely not easy. For now, I'm keeping some of the "romaji" readings so if needed, I know how to anglicize words properly later if I get good enough to translate things (a far away dream lol)!

Anyway, I'll be reading a trashy novel before bed. I have a load of yandere novels to catch up on to reference for my next project, so wish me luck 🥰 It'll be my best yet!

I stopped studying for a year (2020) due to depression and work, and that sucked a lot. I'm very much back now, though! ＼(^_^)／

I used to lack a lot of confidence in my language skills, but after my trip to Japan and getting around solely in Japanese, my ego is back off life support ahaha

I'm hoping I can get a better grasp on my Korean vocab now! (^^)

Though, in all seriousness, I don't recommend doing two language study sessions back to back unless you're very comfortable in at least one of them! It definitely can get confusing otherwise!

It's been nice to study both. For now, I plan to stick to Japanese and Korean most nights and pepper in some supplemental Spanish with the Japanese where I can!

Comparing Korean grammar to Japanese has been helpful in getting over the initial learning curve. Tbh I'm in love with the grammar, but that may change LOL

I'm looking forward to learning more! RIP my terrible photos lol

Learning at night helps me fall asleep usually.

Recent study update. Getting the Korean alphabet down, but still using the english sounds so I know what they translate to in English when I read webtoons and such.

For Japanese, my main focus is vocab building. I can have a conversation just fine, but my vocab is still lacking (embarrasingly).

Let's keep at it!
