For several days, meteorologists have warned that heavy rainfall and strong winds could hit the strip today, tomorrow and over the weekend, risking flash flooding and significant wind damage. What is certain, though, is that Gaza is not facing this storm with ready infrastructure, stocked shelters or functioning drainage systems.

Not only have the people of gaza been suffering from two years of genocidal war thats been largely aided and abetted by the rest of the world, but they are now facing storm byron with all the systems that could have helped them get through this time destroyed by the occupation.

Samah @samah-2 is a mother of three trying to make sure her family survives this winter. Her children are not even ten years old yet and the youngest is only an infant who was born during this war. She is aiming to be able to provide warm clothes and food for the daily needs of the whole family, and they need to have enough money to secure usable tents due to the flooding.
