Im not gonna rewrite everything but I posted this on my story on Instagram but here's my final opinion and stance on everything- remember, this is MY PERSONAL BELIEF
Genuinely so upset for the development team for Valko, now they don’t have a job or they have to dissolve within the company. I hope the dev team continues to threaten infold to leave. How can some of you CN “fans” celebrate this when your LI goes through the same creative process for this game?
You have ruined the lives of real people over your parasocial behaviour and harassment towards Infold. Hope you feel great that the quality of the entire game will go down including your LI.
now that ive stepped away from obsessing over the whole Valko and Infold situation (Thanks mom x) I kinda think this is the end for Infold, or at least LaDS, im not gonna delete it yet but I dont really see a good future after this.
Im gonna stick to my indie otomes, plus Mystic Messenger is having its 10 year anniversary on the 9th so maybe ill play that again
So I know that one of the big reasons Infold cancelled Valko was because they kept getting sent cow shit, chrysanthemums, cursed items, and ritual shit-- but what if we band together and send them dozens and dozens of roses? Show the creative team that we still love their game and that we want him back?
I'm giving them 3 days; if they don't retract or address the overseas fans, I will. Then I'll uninstall, and y'all might want to unfollow me since I'll rarely post LADS content anymore.
I will not support a company that only cares about its own people while pretending they have global fans in mind too.
Money does talk, but so does losing their global reach.

You know what? I feel compelled to add on to my last post. This was a HORRIBLE move for the writing.
For those who don't know, each of the LIs have been mapped to one of the six realms of samsara - as the story has gone one, that's become more and more obvious. Xavier represents the realm of humanity, Zayne represents the realm of demigods, Rafayel represents the realm of the gods, Sylus represents the realm of the underworld, and Caleb represents the realm of ghosts/the undead. Valko was supposed to represent the realm of the animals.
The point of this was that they all tied to MC in some way, the current theory being that she is all of creation,and all of the boys represent a facet of the world. It is sooooo obvious that a 6th LI was always planned - there were always six stellactrum and it was apparent that each color mapped to one of the boys.
So! Canceling Valko actively erases much of the symbolism in the story. If they stop "all further development" as they stated they would, I wouldn't be surprised if the quality of the writing goes DOWN. Sylus and Caleb's stories would probably be strongly impacted, since the "dark trio" would never be complete. They write and develop story elements 1-2 years in advance, so this pivot would derail so much. I genuinely can't believe they made this decision, it's incredibly stupid from a business perspective and means they're sacrificing the majority of the fandom for a very loud minority.
I'm pissed because this will affect the entire damn game. It's not just Valko, it's the rest of the storyline from now on. It's the storylines of the other LIs, since this game tends to casually insinuate things about the other boys even in the chapters that aren't focused on them. Valko's story probably would have revealed a bit about EVER - which connects to all of the boys - and now that's lost to us.
Do never get this livid when it comes to fiction, but this was such an incredibly stupid and impulsive response from the devs. I've seen some games collapse due to devs and marketing teams that lack the courage to stick to their story, and I'm getting war flashbacks (/lh) with LADS right now.
I hope the VAs persue legal action if they can. Cutting off a contract due to peer pressure and costing all five voice actors of the character to lose the (what I assume to be at least 2 year) contract and the stability of voice acting something that constantly needs voicing.
Actionable Ideas for Challenging Infold Over Valko's Release
A lot of LADS fans are really upset over Infold's decision to shelve Valko. This is my attempt at creating action items for fans wanting to do something but are unsure where to start.
Here are some methods for giving Infold feedback:
Sign this petition and this petition
Reply to their posts on X (Twitter)
Comment on their Instagram posts
Comment on their Facebook posts
Comment on their YouTube videos
Join their official Discord Server and voice your dissatisfaction
Leave a 1-star review on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store
Complete the survey in the Love and Deepspace app by selecting the box/pencil icon in the top right corner of the home screen
"Suggest" Valko's release in the Love and Deepspace app by going to Settings > More > Support, then select "Suggestion"
(If you want to be slightly passive-aggressive) On 9 July, go to Settings > More > Support, then select "Bug Report" and fill out the report stating that the promised Valko content is missing
Remember: if we want Infold to listen to us, we MUST remain civil and demonstrate our affection for the game. I highly doubt they will be intimidated by non-CN players, which means we are held to a different standard. What is effective for them will not be effective for us.
With that said, remember these do's and dont's:
Do repeatedly submit/post/send your feedback over the next few weeks. Email them today, in a few days, on 9 July, and in the weeks after. Post on their social media every day. Overwhelm them and show them this isn't going to go away over a few free Wishes.
Do prepare to CONTINUE submitting/posting/sending your feedback over the next few months. Infold needs to see that we won't let this issue go. Schedule emails to be sent to them over the next 3 months. Draft X posts today and copy and paste them to post in a few months time. Draft your long-form in-app feedback in preperation for the update and the upcoming banners. Create reminders to check and comment on their posts weekly. Don't let them get comfortable. Be a dog with a bone (lol).
Do maintain a polite tone in your feedback (even when you are issuing a threat like leaving the game).
Do specify your current disappointments, long-term criticisms, and expectations for the future of the game should you continue to play.
Do clearly isolate your long-term issues with the game from the current issue of Valko's release. Make it clear that those issues are not resolved by delaying or permanently canceling Valko's debut.
Do talk positively about whatever you can (ie. enjoying other LIs, enjoying the content of the Main Story itself, appreciating the worldbuilding, etc). This may feel difficult, but it demonstrates that you are a passionate player. Infold can assume that a player so invested in the game would need something drastic to push them to leave.
Don't use profanity.
Don't reference CN players.
Don't bring up Infold's past mistakes. We need to stay focused on the current issues.
Don't criticize anything about Valko's teased content. This one may be unpopular, I know. If Infold is pulling back Valko's release, I don't think it's likely that they will be willing to invest any more time and money into his development. If they continue to get more and more criticisms about him and don't care to change anything about him, they will never release him. I'm not minimizing any fan's concerns; I'm suggesting we choose a priority.
If you are unsure where to start, here are some talking points:
Express your excitement over Valko (bonus points if you give reasons why). Did you come back from a long hiatus for him?
Express your disappointment over not having Valko in the game. How will it impact your enjoyment of the game?
Describe how you prepared for his anticipated arrival.
• In-game (farm for dias, bought packs, etc)
• On your devices (created storage space, bought a new device, etc)
• Financially (budgeted for buying packs upon his release, etc)
Describe how you engaged in fandom around Valko. Did you create fanart, fanfiction, or other fanworks? How much were you consuming fanworks showcasing him? Demonstrating how beloved he was before any real content of his being released indicates a warm reception if/when he is released.
What are the current issues you experience with the game? Be specific. Describe exactly how they impact your gameplay. Suggest a concrete way those issues could be resolved. Assert that Valko's release being postponed or canceled will not resolve these issues.
Express concern for the changes to their planned story arc his absence would create. Question if those changes would be as enjoyable as their original plan.
(If you're feeling up to it) Acknowledge the amount of time, effort, and money that must have gone into creating Valko. Let them know it would disappoint you to see it go to waste.
Infold made a terrible decision. We need to take action and let Infold know that a large portion of the LADS fanbase wants Valko to be released at some point. Let's try to remain positive where we can, engage in positive fandom, and do our best to make our voices heard by Infold.

Honestly, the saddest part about this entire situation is that Valko was never even given the chance to enter the game.
At the very least, I believe Infold should have released the update first, observed players' reactions to his story, and seen how his banners performed before deciding to discard what was likely months— if not years— of creativity, planning, resources, and hard work poured into creating an entirely new love interest.
I can't help but feel heartbroken for everyone involved in bringing him to life: the designers, writers, artists, animators, va, and every member of the team who contributed to his creation.
Valko felt intriguing, unique, and genuinely refreshing. Even from the limited content we received, it was clear that a great deal of care had gone into writing and designing him.
Right now, I'm genuinely upset and disappointed by this decision. If it ends up being permanent, I honestly don't know how I'll feel about continuing to invest my time in the game.
For those of us who were excited to meet him, the least we can do is be the voice of a misunderstood wolf who never got the chance to howl beneath the moon (╥ ω ╥)
