Tikatok, by Pearson, is a safe way for young students to write, illustrate and publish their own story books. The site is social, so children can join groups, comment on books and work on stories collaboratively. Everything is teacher-monitored, which also means you can only access Tikatok if you have a Pearson School Code, so this service is not free. Common Sense Media has a great review on Tikatok that you should definitely check out.
Lulu's service helps you make printed books (bound in a variety of ways), e-books, photobooks, and even calendars. It's e-book service is completely free and a fabulous way to publish your own professional e-book as well as push the content to various e-book vendors and promote it as well. This site is more for educators and administrators looking to self-publish than for student/classroom usage.

Great for student creations and teacher instructional creations that make learning a tad more interactive, Flipsnacks is free and easy to use to create e-books with flippable pages.
A Pinterest board filled with useful activities for Spanish classes (and easily adapted to other foreign language classes and, perhaps, other disciplines as well). This is a GREAT resource for when you need a quick idea for your class.
You can make your blog or website a digital magazine with this free web-based tech tool! All you need to do is enter in your URL, fill out some details, and there you go--digital EPub and PDF magazine formats of your content! This is a great way to not only magazine-ify your own content but also your students' content from their blogs or class websites. Additionally, if you are a graduate student looking for ways to organize, collect, and PDF blogposts for future reference, this tool could be useful to you as well.
Create a fake newspaper clipping image to introduce a new topic in class or have students create their own clippings as part of an activity or project. It's free and easy!

Blogpost by @pernilleripp, a frequent blogger on no grading and no homework. Check out all her blog posts here: http://www.pernilleripp.com. I highly recommend the read!
Rather than just a plan QR code, you can embed a QR code neatly inside any image.
Need a whiteboard on the go? What students to use an easy and userfriendly whiteboard during group work or discussions? Scriblink has a free and java-based on-line whiteboard with a simple UI that is perfect for these situations.
Following along with research-based strategies in presenting instruction, you should always introduced material with an activating strategy. Frequently I use graphic organizers as a form of activating strategy when starting a new topic. Education Place has complied several PDFs of great graphic organizers to use in your classroom!
A great app that can be used by students or teachers in the classroom that hosts and organizes, photos, videos, audio recordings, music files, notes and text entries, digital documents (even directly from dropbox or email), and web links to online work and content. This is a great way for students to track their learning and accumulate artifacts of their work, and the same can apply for teachers gathering data from their classrooms. A great cheaply-price free app for iPhone and iPad with a lot of potential.

I can envision that this app is not just for business speakers, but also for teachers presenting professional development or speaking at conferences as well as for students taking a public speaking course or serving as a leader in the school. Wafflr is packed with unique and useful features that can help you with any speaking occasion. Granted, this is a paid app, but I have seen it go on sale previously!
