My state is very on fire right now, during errands I saw multiple people finding out they dont have homes anymore. Currently I'm right outside the evacuation zone, my job is directly across the street from a level 3 evacuation zone and I walk to work every day.
So not doing great, but it seems like the fire map hasn't updated since nightfall. I'm too stressed to sleep, and I'd have horrifying dreams if I managed. So I'm playing night watchman to occasionally check if I can see flames and be prepared to wrangle cats.
While this is irritating to no end, I am oddly charmed that I'm sharing a historically universal feeling of guarding the homestead to make sure the dangers in the dark dont venture too close.
