my most unpopular Star Wars opinion is that I would genuinely love to see a movie/series, hell even a scene from one episode, where someone who isn't ISB or imperial officer, would be happy the Empire is in power. Not brainwashed or forced, but actually convinced that it was a good thing the Republic died. After all, the Republic -- cofcof Palpatine and the Senate, but mostly Palpatine cofcof-- brought war to the entire galaxy. Planets were ravaged and peoples were displaced because of the Chancellor's warmongering. It is only natural, that the ones who were the most affected by the war would find themselves supporting the regime that brought "peace, freedom, and security" that the new empire seemed to guarantee, even if, unbeknownst to them, it was the very that started the wars and later would go out to commit purges across the galaxy.
It would be fascinating to see this explored in SW franchise: the psychology of a people being used to their disadvantage. How the almost desperate desire for stability and peace can make people trade their values and their freedom for a steady load of bread on the table, only to lead to an even bloodier conflict in a much larger scale than the previous one they survived (I'd like to believe that all star wars fans are in agreement that the Galactic Civil War was worse than the Clone Wars, right?)
Idk I think it would add depth and realism to the Imperial era and not just treat them as "the oppressors", which I think we all know that? Like we can all see how evil and oppressive they are and media --especially western media-- shows it almost to a cartoonish degree how evil these tyrants are. As if it wasn't the people who let them waltz through the front door in the first place.
(After all, it was the German people who started voting for the NSDAP until Hitler became Supreme Chancellor of Germany in the 1930s.)
However, I won't hold my breath. I know modern writers are cowards and Disney destroys everything it touches. They probably won't do it because "they are afraid of promoting fascism" or something stupid like that. And it could be possible that they are right and there is a psycho out there who'd take this as "pro-fascism" content. But I still think they should do it, because sci-fi/fantasy exists so that we can explore complex topics from a different perspective and teach valuable lessons for those to see it.
And to finish this rant, I want to add that the Empire not having civilian supporters is probably one of the most unbelievable things of the franchise AND THAT SAYS A LOT. I mean we are talking about space wizards with laser swords, people! Surely we can have a scene were civilians are pro-empire and later revisit the idea of them being like "whoa, yeah this is not what I voted for. Sign me up for the Rebellion please" lol
Finally found the courage to watch NATLA. It has been an... interesting experience so far... wait WHY DOES ZUKO HAVE AN "AVATAR DIARY" OMG HE IS SUCH A DORK LMAO
Also loving Suki and Sokka's scenes. They're so cliché but i LOVE them
Just finished NATLA S2 and boy… where do I even start? Lol

just a little off-putting

The Forgers!
Gojohime dynamic where Uta is ordered by both the higher ups and the Gojo clan to keep Satoru in check once they realize she's immune to his charm and isn't afraid of his strength. Gojo being enraged that the system thinks they can use Uta against him just because he is a loose canon while she is perceived as "obedient". Neither not knowing that Uta is playing her part to appease the higher ups/Gojo clan but in reality she is on Satoru's side, she'd rather move in silence as the obedient by the books sorcerer and use the misogyny to her advantage
Part 1: My favorite headcanon is Kya spent way too much time with Uncle Zuko and it shows.
She was definitely taking notes from him. From the hairstyle to the facial expressions (and I’ve gathered plenty of screenshot proof). 😄
The new art of young Kya II from her solo comic, along with the leaked footage from the upcoming "The Legend of Aang" movie, has officially convinced me of one incredibly precious detail.
Have you noticed Kya’s hairstyle? Look closely at those loose side-bangs and the way her hair is framed. Now look at Uncle Zuko.
This is now my official headcanon: Zuko, our favorite dutiful 'girl dad', used to braid young Kya's hair when she was a kid because it was the only hairstyle he actually knew how to do by himself!
He probably just learned a simple, practical style that also happened to be traditional in the Fire Nation, and little Kya loved it so much that she decided to stick with it.
Young Kya to Elder Kya: Consistently pulls her hair back and leaves those long side-bangs. This is pure Zuko (or even young Azula) aesthetic. It is a very distinct fashion marker of the Fire Nation.
It’s so interesting how Kya completely avoids traditional Water Tribe hairstyles for some reason. Water Tribe hair is always all about intricate braids, elaborate twists, ponytails, and a bunch of authentic accessories like blue beads, ribbons or hair wraps.
This isn't a traditional Water Tribe style at all. It is uniquely Uncle Zuko's style. He was the closest family friend, and this detail basically screams that he was that "cool uncle" who spent a lot of time babysitting the kids.
Uncle Zuko hairstyle… and fighting style.
The facial expression identity between these two characters just amuses me so much😅:
I just can't stop comparing screenshots of these two. I have no idea how much time Zuko spent with this family for their daughter to completely pick up his facial expressions.
Either that, or I have a very serious question for Katara.😏

Doodle request: Aira apologises to Momo for trying to steal Okarun away from her. Momo is confused and scared at her character growth
While I can’t imagine Aira apologizing in a way that doesn’t sound like her, Momo would be horrified no matter what.
thank you for the request!

For the Good Times
oh geez
This is both extremely dramatic and also not canon-esque at all, like i dont see anything remotely like this happening, but it was fun. I do want to see them argue. Not only fight knives-and-guns-blazing, but like an ideological crossroads. In this case: their approaches to their life views. Aside from the obvious ideologies they've adopted from garden and wise, Twilight is very self-sacrificial, seeming not to care about the impact his death would have on those depending on him, putting everything in for the mission. On the other hand, Yor knows the importance of life, she had to live in order for her brother to live, she takes lives up-close so she knows their weight and how easily they can be snuffed out. Therefore, she's more careful about being able to make it home so that she can be there for her family.
with this most recent arc, even though she isn't getting a full view of how much harm he puts himself in, that last panel in the last chapter of him dragging himself in the hospital (although it was funny) kinda got me thinking. What if yor got an inkling of how little he cared for himself? and what if, when confronted about it, he refused to stand down?
also ideally they wouldn't be snogging right away after their first argument but. needs be

We were having a bit of fun over in one of my Star Wars writing Discords, the challenge was to choose any scene from one of your favorite movies and parody it using your favorite characters or OCs.
So uhhhhhh, here, have a little treat fellow Sabezra shippers.
---
Rain from the Kamino thunderstorm roiled across the battlefield, the fight pitched on both the city platforms and the listing ocean hoverskiffs. Thrawn's undead forces were mixed in with regular Stormtroopers and they outnumbered the allied New Republic and Underworld forces ten to one, but still they fought on, rallying with every lightsaber swoop of the two fighters in the vanguard.
Ezra glanced aside at Sabine as she skewered a Nightrooper through the stomach, a sudden urgency seizing him, remembering how Kanan and Hera had missed their own shot. "You know, it occurs to me—" he shouted above the battle din. "—dying for something is the easy part. What are we going to live for?"
He could see her roll her eyes inside her helmet as she pulled her saber free. "What are you saying?" she asked.
Gathering his courage, he took a deep breath.
"I'm saying… will you marry me?"
She gawped at him, as both of them raised their sabers to block a vibroblade. "Now?! I don't think now's the best time, Ezra!" she cried.
"Now might be our only time!" He shoved off their attacker, grabbing her sincerely around her right bracer. "I love you, Sabine. I've made my choice. What's yours?"
She hesitated only a moment before yelling out towards the front of the hoverskiff. "HONDO! Marry us!"
The pirate kicked aside a snarling zombie and unloaded his blaster into a Stormtrooper. "I AM, ER, A LITTLE BIT BUSY AT THE MOMENT MY FRIENDS!"
"Hondo, now!" Ezra begged.
Rummaging around in his long blue coat Hondo muttered, "All right all right, I know I have a little flimsi with common marriage rites here somewhere." He searched for a couple moments before having to give up and defend against another attack. "Oh nevermind!" He took up a spot at the prow, raising his voice. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today—" A screech interrupted him and his blasters spewed shots angrily. "—TO NAIL YOUR GIZZARD TO THE NAVIGATION CONSOLE YOU IMPERIAL SWINE!"
The Force and the rain flowed around the two as their sabers danced, drawing both combatants together and then apart again as they shredded Thrawn's forces. Ezra caught Sabine up, whispering the Mandalorian vows with ardent fervor, stumbling only slightly over the words.
She pulled her helmet off to say them back, eyes locked on him with adoration.
"Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde."
"Wonderful!" Hondo proclaimed. "As illustrious captain I now pronounce you—" He was interrupted by an attack from the side. "—You may now kiss—" From the back now. "—You may kiss—" He blew the last man away and then waved his hands in surrender. "JUST KISS!"
Sabine swept into his arms, grabbing his hair desperately as their lips crashed together and all the sound of battle seemed, for a moment, simply to fade away.
SABEZRA BEING MARRIED BY HONDO AS BARBOSSA?! YEEES! Genius. Ah! What a time to be alive 😂❤️
