Ding ding ding! Correct! I made Sid to be John's pet! When answering anons back on my ask blog he summoned an undead bunny from a tophat to show off and ended up keeping it. While the blog is long dead and his origins a little silly, I kept Sid on as a little pet for John to have in my writing. John's historically not much of an animal person, but a fucked up lil dead guy seemed very fitting.

He's the perfect pet for him, very non commital. Can keep him in a pen in the corner of his room and do very little when it comes to taking care of him because he's already dead. John can fuck off for periods of time and come back to the rabbit just fine

Excuse the quick crude doodles, but here they are together! Sid has all of one braincell, and said braincell is as dead as he is, so he's just happy to exist and get attention from John, and destroy whatever personal belongings he can get his teeth on (he'll often eat small objects and need to have them shaken out of the hole in his side like a horrible plinko game). John meanwhile, if you asked him, would call Sid a bastard nuisance, but loves him dearly. Very ""macho"" about it all publicly, but baby talks the bunny and cuddles him in private. A good little companion for when he's feeling lonely <3
