despite what the writers tried to pull in the last few eps of the show, dean never taught cas how to love or to care about the world; cas loved angels like balthazar, uriel, anna, and more since way before he ever met dean. and the sheer amount of times cas got lobotomized pre-series shows how much cas cared about earth and humanity enough to rebel and/or how much he cared about heaven and angels to rebel for their sakes to make heaven into a better, more humane world in and of itself, and obviously heaven is just as much a part of cas' world as much as earth is-- in fact, i think it'd be understandable if cas prioritized heaven over earth as "his world" considering heaven is his homeland where he was created, trained to be a part of something larger than himself, and was raised, loved, and loved by his siblings for billions of years. cas' ability to care about things wasn't ingrained into him by any other person. that's literally just the way cas is as a person; why anyone would want to take his personhood away from him and make it an achievement of dean, like dean owns him or something, is beyond me.
