A family in Kashechewan located James Bay Area needs help with your awareness!! Children are growing up with bad water, which are potentially developing skin conditions and infections. This family has been to the local clinic several times and only walk out in disappointment due to not very concerning doctors and nurses. (most of the workers are French-Canadian.) This has been going for too long. Natives are not treated properly in the Canadian healthcare system!

“Just got back from so called clinic, prolly waited an hour so, one patience was seen for emergency waiting on Orange….a NURSE came to me saying THIS IS NOT EMERGE to my grand daughter cause she was wondering around the hall way, almost bitch slapped her face! I told her, ‘Don’t call this its not emergency, look at her face n’ It’s smelling bad now! I really f@&jin HATE this clinic here….C&C do something about these so called nurses around here, if really something happens to my girl, it’s on your hands! This is her 3rd infection since she came home from Timmins FEB 7th! Still this day 😢 I am tired seeing her like this, it’s like over a month now, her mommy is very tired as well 😒 we need answers!”

“I’m starting to doubt these Dr’s , seems like she doesn’t wanna send her out, she only asked me if I wanna take her out on winter road by Thursday to MF, if she doesn’t heal, she didn’t wanna medivac her else where, only they always wanna try different antibiotics n creams, I am getting frustrated with these meds, we don’t know which ones to use anymore, she has too many guessing meds! I’m scared for her sometimes, I always watch her when she sleeps, this excema started at 6 months old, n it’s getting worst, she has scars in her body, I’m pretty sure she’ll have it on her face now, this started December on her face area, never went away yet, it’s been too long now! She only attend Pre school once, and she’s gonna start school in September! My grand daughter doesn’t like taking a bath now, saying its gonna hurt! Just feeling so sad for her now! Dr she seen on Monday says to put bleach a little in her bath tub too, I was saying to daughter, crazy I’m not burning her skin!”

**Those who wonder why not go to a hospital, due to living far away from hospitals, it costs a lot of money. Many reservations in north of Canada do not have access to hospitals, unless they drive out for a 30 minute-2 hours ride there.
