“No, not really” she smiled. “But, it does read ex-boyfriend of my brother who always secretly liked me better anyway so he wants to take care of me” she joked. “I’m kidding. I would have had it delivered but, the pharmacy was closed. Thanks for the advice though, I will definitely do both”

“Mm, well, I suppose I could go see the school nurse and she if she’s got something,” he shrugged casually. “I can hang around if you want.”

Looking up from his journal when he heard a familiar voice an instant smile spread across his lips. “Where the hell have you been?” he asked standing up and walking over to the other boy to pull him into a hug “I missed you!”

Casey hugged him back tight and smiled. “I missed you too,” he said, the hug probably a little longer than it needed to be. “Went home for a bit, but I am back now. I sort of just... disconnected, pretty much kept my phone off the whole time. What have you been up to?”

“I am so tired of couples making out in the middle of the hallway, you’d think they’d want privacy while they’re getting it on.”

While working out, the male couldn’t shake the feeling like he was being watched but he didn’t break his focus on what he was doing. Finally, though, he looked up to see a pair of eyes on him, seemingly staring at him.“You know I can’t concentrate with you watching me, right?” Cole stated, continuing his reps.

“It’s okay, darlin’, you know I like to watch.”

“I am so tired of couples making out in the middle of the hallway, you’d think they’d want privacy while they’re getting it on.”

“Well, we probably won’t have to endure that for much longer now that cuffing season and the holidays are over.”

“I think I’m catching a cold and it sucks so bad! Do you happen to have any emergen-c? I just ran out last night”

“Is there anything about my face that reads ‘pharmacy’? Why don’t you get it delivered? And maybe take a warm shower, and definitely cover up.”

“I am so not ready to go back to class on Monday. Why can’t we just have another week off so I can lay in bed and watch Netflix all day?”

“What’s really the point, though? Even that gets boring after a while. Personally I’m over being on break.”

Humming softly to himself he continued to write into his journal not noticing the other person approach him. “Tonight.. tonight, I’ll be your friend.. no.. man” he mumbled under his breath.

“Oh, hey, I didn’t realize you were in here,” he said as he came into the room. “Am I interrupting you?”

Casey: idk 'love' might be stretching it

[5 Minutes later]

Andres: I think by now you've realized that wasn't meant for you.

Casey: who are you texting about obscure mexican children's soap operas?

“I found this guitar in the attic back home and I’ve been trying to teach myself to play but… it’s definitely harder than it looks.”

“Just because you want to play that guitar, doesn’t mean you have to submit us to the torture of having to listen to you teach yourself, darling.”

Laney: what do you want for christmas?

Nev: What do you call a pothead with two spliffs?

“Okay, I know I must look really absolutely bonkers– outdoors in the dead of winter without a coat,” the scruffy haired boy smiled, “but would you believe me if I said I… got locked out of my room?”

“I believe you, since there’s no other reason why anyone would be out here in the freezing cold. Want me to break in?”
